Literally perfect video 🔥🔥 People only hate Fruity Limiter because they don't know how to use it 😂 It controls the low end much better than a soft clipper right off the bat.. The difference is subtle but there and is huge in a car
@SIKKYBEATS3 жыл бұрын
Couldn't say it better myself. Fl Studio is too powerful yet we're distracted by the bells and whistles of new plugins to bother learning it to the fullest extent. a light low cut before any distortion will help tighten up the low end 👀

just a question.. might sound weird but .. if i have a oneshot of key f and i want to use it as key "a" so do i need to pitch it to key "a" and use it on piano roll at key a or what exactly i need to do ive been confused.... help me with one shot and how exactly i can tune it to different keys and use it in piano roll... including 808s and stuff
@mattsrj28113 жыл бұрын
You gotta change your root note to F into the latest tab of the sampler menu The crank one -> right click on F note at the bottom
@SIKKYBEATS3 жыл бұрын
By right clicking on "F" on Fl Studio Sampler keyboard you will have tuned the key to C. By doing this you tell Fl that the root note is F. Onces it tuned to F you can move your melody up or down to the key of A

What I heard is that chain 1 is the most compressed, chain 2 is the most punchy for me from that midrange punch and chain 3 is similar to chain 2 with the punch more in the lower end, but more compressed. I prefer chain 2 for the punch. Chain 3 is good for low end punch and some compression. Chain 1 is good for that mike dean full sound and more instrument/synth based then drum punch heavy style. Pretty dope video!
@MvnStn3 жыл бұрын
I don't put anything on the master or use fx buses.. I'ma start fooling around with these techniques, because I occasionally run into low and high freq issues. I'm assuming a high end shelf on the master will brighten up the overall tone of the beat? I'm not sure why I would cut the low ends, as I already use fl parametric eq 2 to cut the lows on individual sounds. (And to cut the highs, if needed.) This was super helpful, and I appreciate it Sikky!
@SIKKYBEATS3 жыл бұрын
Glad to to help mayne. Yes a high shelf will brighten up the overall beat. but note that if you're hihats are nice and loud it will make them even louder as hihats mostly live in that area of the frequency spectrum. Sidechain, optimal phase alignment between kicks and 808s, and minimal instrumentation in the lowend is how I'd get a clean bottom end on my mix.
@MvnStn3 жыл бұрын
@@SIKKYBEATS dope, thanks for sharing! by aligning the kicks and 808's do you mean making them sit well together? either by pitching or eq'ing?
@SIKKYBEATS3 жыл бұрын
@@MvnStn I usually pitch anything melodic aswell as the 808 till I feel the kick and 808 sit nice together. If it doesn't work still change the 808 or kick. Helps to listen to the kick and 808 on loop and flip the phase on the kick in sampler track
@MvnStn3 жыл бұрын

If you put the input up, do you have to make the overall beat less louder?
@SIKKYBEATS3 жыл бұрын
Simple answer no. Only did this because I wanted to show you guys the difference between soft cliping and no soft cliping.
@SIKKYBEATS3 жыл бұрын
@arun ganesh Clipper: sharp blade that cuts only the peaks when they hit the ceiling Soft clipper: like a clipper but it starts cutting a touch earlier to make for a more "rounder" softer clip, but still only at the ceiling Drive/saturation: applies an adjustment to a larger range of the signal, but still does more of its work at the top close to the ceiling Distortion: drive/saturation applied hard by pushing the signal towards the ceiling, thus causing extreme saturation that sounds distorted
