Very interesting video Both models are very nice I would probably go with the Majorette because it has that engine, 4 exhaust pipes and I think overall shape of the car is a bit better. I never really cared for Siku when I was a kid, they were not very popular where I lived. I wonder how Matchbox would compare to these two.. I had a silver Jaguar E-type 1/18 model produced by BBurago E type is probably one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Great comparison video Paul Thank You and have a nice weekend

Świetny pomysł z porównywaniem modeli różnych firm. Naprawdę strzał w dziesiątkę. Osobiście uważam, że Majorette w końcowym efekcie wygląda o wiele lepiej. Linia nadwozia (troszkę bardziej aerodynamiczny kształt przedniej szyby) jest po prostu ładniejsza. Mogli tylko poprawić fabryczne spasowanie tej przedniej klapy.... no i jakby dodali otwierane drzwi to już w ogóle zdeklasowałby model Siku. A w Siku z kolei fajnym rozwiązaniem są przednie światła i otwierane drzwi. Wygrywa Majorette :P No i oczywiście Twoja robota - jak zawsze najwyższy poziom!!! ;) gratulacje i pozdrowienia!

Very nice indeed, particularly the Siku. The Majorette bonnet just plain doesn’t fit...... I’ve tried to do a couple myself and it’s just the wrong shape and the hinge area is poorly designed and scaled. It’s a very difficult fix! Still, they look great......excellent job of work 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻

Beautiful and sweet memories. Paul, since you master the vaccum process, why don't you try reproducing the Majorette packaging from the 70's-80's? Not the rigid snap lock boxes, the thin plastic ones. I am 50 and I never saw any Majorette sold in matchbox like packaging, this must be older. I am sure you are perfectly able to reproduce that too! Love your restorations, keep going.

@@PaulRestorer Great. I have vague recalls of the bottom, which differed a bit from one model to the other depending in the location of the wheels. The hot sealing between the upper transparent section and the white bottom section with the cardboard trapped in sandwich between both could be tricky too.

lovely colours, nicely done. :) the differences between the models also show how difficult it can be to recreate a car's shapes in a small scale; and how much effort they want to make while doing the prototype model. same can be seen with the VW Beetle; not many small scale models are accurate, moist are too flat, round, short, wide narrow... but this is what makes collecting worthwhile. :)

Great restoration. I have two of the Majorette models, each has a decal of a leaping jaguar on the bonnet (hood). It looks better without the decal in my opinion, I like the color you chose for the Majorette car. Enzo Ferrari once described the Jaguar E Type as "the most beautiful car in the world."

Gotta respect the Siki for the opening doors. Had to take points off for the bumper bodge. We would've taken care of that before painting when it could've been shaped to match the survivor.

To nie tylko dwa modeliki od różnych wytwórców, ale też dwie generacje Jaguara E -Type. Można to poznać po przezroczystej osłonie na reflektorach, charakterystycznej dla serii I z lat 1961-1967. Miała ona poprawić aerodynamikę samochodu, ale była niedozwolona w USA. Takie światła ma model od Siku. Natomiast w pojeździe od Majorette są wyeksponowane światła bez osłony, charakterystyczne dla serii II wprowadzonej w 1968 r. A kto jeszcze pamięta śmieszną scenę z francuskiej komedii pt. ,, Le petit Baigneur " 1968 (w Polsce znany jako ,, Mały pływak," albo ,, Zwariowany weekend "), w której Louis de Funes rozciąga właśnie Jaguara E - Type. (?) Świetna robota Paul. Jednoczesna renowacja dwóch tak różnych modeli, a nawet dwóch generacji Jaguara E - Type, to strzał w >>10

Hammer, die Restaurierung. V.a. die Herstellung der Scheiben. So was habe ich noch nie gesehen. Echt endkrass gut. Ich meinte mich zu erinnern, dass mein majorette Käfer aus den 70er Jahren auch ein Haubenproblem hatte. Und das, obwohl dee Käfer neu war. Ein blauer Käfer. Die etypes… sind echt super geworden. Wirklich. Ganz großes Kino. Ein helleres Blau hätte mir auch gefallen, wie aus dem Film „the avengers“ von 1998. oder in rot wie bei Jerry Cotten. Großes Kompliment.
