I thought Matteo went way overboard and I'm a big fan. The beauty of the blues is to know when to hold back and when to serve the song. His playing here is just a torrent of notes with no thought of the timing and rhythm of the song. And then when Joe tries to trade licks it takes him a good long while to calm the pace a bit and actually do a duel worthwhile. But nerves got the better of him. I would have loved to see him play more tasteful stuff instead. His solos weren't particularly bluesy at all. Better luck next time Mr Mancuso
@giancarlopaolini75296 ай бұрын
A long list of bullshits ...Matteo has been simply excellent with his solo in this context ....in this performance there was already a Joe Bonamassa and there was the need for another guitar player with his own style to complement the whole sound of the song and Matteo just did it perfectly. Sorry mate ....you have no idea of how tasteful stuff might sound like if you didn't catch it here.
@fire9fly35 ай бұрын
@@giancarlopaolini7529 he didn't complement it one bit. It's a blues song not jazz fusion, djent or metal. Play the blues. No need to be unpleasant. The blues is about soul and rhythm. Matteo just puked out a loooooooong string of notes. No taste. No style. No rhythm. No soul. The sign of a good musician is knowing when to release and when to hold it down. Too bad that you disagree but you have your opinion and I have mine

Matteo decided to go for a crazy amount of notes per second......that's a pity as I feel he overplayed it. I watched some of his videos where he could be more catchy with his playing and I expected something more here. Also the guitar phrasing between the two didn't really work so well?. The guitar duel between with Mr Gales and Joe is much more enjoyable for me but I hope there will be other chances for Matteo.
