Thanks for this wonderful documentary. Here I am sitting thousands of miles away drinking Darjeeling tea. I say thanks to all those hard working tea garden people whose brought me this wonderful taste of the Darjeeling mountains. Truly grateful. To the management I say, take good care of these hard working people. I have stayed in these estate bungalows as guest so I know what I am talking about.

This is the life of the majority of our people. Lack of healthcare, alternate livelihood, education, basic infrastructure, and neglect by our erring politicians has made life a grave struggle for our people. The fortitude and persistence showed by the commoner is still commendable and speaks volumes about the spirit of the Nepali community. The leaders, owners and the elite populace need to wake up from their costly stupor and make a difference. This people deserve more.

Such heartwrenching to see plight of these hard working people. 100rs for a day work! What happened to minimum wage? It's difficult to believe that no govt entity is intervening and things are running as these managers please! More power to these hard working people, I hope things take turn for better and they get the facilities they deserve. Tea cultivation is such a lucrative business and high end tea sells at such high rates, it's inhuman on these companies part to keep everything and not give money to these folks. 500 a day is also too low, in my opinion considering the back breaking work they have to do.

Can we people of Tea Garden look up for alternative living options instead of tea workers so we can get rid of this sort of things ? We have been deprived of all facilities from the Govt state and central ! We should look for something for the future will have some problems probably will be better in the future.
