i have a good friend of mine who didn’t want to become a Muslim because of his household. (Shia household). His family were all Shia and he didn’t like it. Subhanallah I had like 2 hour convo with him explaining the Sunni and the Shia side and Al hamdolilah he became Sunni Muslim. His parents are very good people by the way very polite and had no problem for him to become Sunni. No strict parents what so ever since he had a free choice for not being a Muslim in the beginning. They told me atleast you made him a Muslim 🤣 subhanallah.

Then Allah by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed. And Allah guides whom He wills to a Straight Path. Quran(2:212-213).

Prophet Muhammad pbuh never claimed he's Sunni but he gave us the Sunnah, he never said he was Shia'a, his daughter Fatima had Hussain & Hassan, he never said he was Hanafi or Sufi, be what he was a muslim, he submitted his will to almighty God, imam Abu Hanifa was not Hanafi, imam Shafai was not Shafi, imam Ahmad bin Hambal was not Hambali, imam Malik was not Maliki, they all followed prophet Muhammad pbuh.
