To: Roland S Martin. YOU are Dead Wrong for what you are doing. Are you now participating in the destruction of tearing down Black historical Institutions every time an ex sport player or celebrity get turned down for a position when having no knowledge of what they are signing up for? Absolutely Pathetic and disgusting in the way you are handling this entire situation as though you are angry and in need of anger management. You are beginning to appear arrogance, angry and ignorance as it relates to all the facts involving the totality and the magnitude of the situation. You can and should be better. We all know that HBCU schools are under funded around the country. Why not use your platform to bring about awareness as to why the graduates of these historically black institutions are not given back to these colleges that they obtained their degrees of higher learning. These same issues have been going on for decades at most of our HBCU, so Mr. Roland why are you Suddenly shocked and Outraged now?....You are beginning to sound exactly like Ed Reed and not during your homework and research, but rather tear down everyone and everything that you do not agree with. I am sure your audience are beginning to tune out and hold you accountable of attacking the President and other board members without attempting to have a real, open and honest conversation on both sides of the aisle. To publicly shame them all because Ed Reed acted in the same manner that you are now acting. It's a shame and in conclusion: If I am not mistaking and please do correct me if I am wrong. You once stated that you were a man of God many years ago and my questions to you is simply this. Why do you use such derogatory language on your own show and expect for your audience to continue to pledge, donate or help fund your program. Lets Build up and not tear down. Do better or Drop the mic. Respectfully.

When the interim talks about Dr. Bethune, it’s clear he doesn’t know this: “If we accept and acquiesce in the face of discrimination, we accept the responsibility ourselves and allow those responsible to salve their conscience by believing that they have our acceptance and concurrence. We should, therefore, protest openly everything… that smacks of discrimination or slander.” Quoted by Dr. Bethune. Coach Ed Reed had to speak out. We were raised on these words. First of all from a Gramblinite great job speaking out you all were very articulate I'm very impressed considering the lack luster situations you've had to deal with. You all represent what dr Mary mccleod bethune stood for which is excellence. The student body needs to do like Howard's students last year and occupy a building and do a mass demonstration daily until something is done. Ro should also go on that campus and meet with the students because it's becoming apparently clear they aren't going have a townhall on campus because the president is straight lying. I have a feeling he's going home real soon.

It really is that bad there at Bethune cookman. I've been fighting tooth and nail since the day my son step foot on campus 2.5 years ago. All administration needs to be removed. They give HBCU's a bad reputation.. Very unorganized. The staff there clearly don't care about the kids. Receiving their paycheck to sit and do nothing all day is what I've seen since my son has been there. We've been dealing with a situation since the summer that still haven't been resolved due to lack of staff communication and poor work ethics as a whole at the school. Leave messages and not one person returns phone calls.

@@darryelynnegordon9510 Document, Document, Document! What needs to be done has to be in writing you have to have a paper trail. When I file complaints I take it to the local library or your bank and have what I have written notorized, its free at those places! Send the letter with copies to the Administrator, your child's counselor or adviser and keep a copy make sure to have it signed for thru the postal service and request a notification card be sent once the letter is delivered it shows that it was received.I do the mail first to catch them off guard they normally answer if not wait 30 days (and record any calls) but request a response in writing. No calls or response in 30 days take the same letter along with a second letter(get notarized) now requesting a meeting to the office and have your child get them both stamped received which will have a date on it and get a copy after its stamped!!! That second letter tell them is because there was no response to this first. If you get lucky make sure to confirm the appointment maybe a day earlier especially if you live out of town, they have a tendency for you to show up and some emergency came up.
