This been going on for decades, same thing happen at South Carolina state. It’s just funny to me when Deion Sanders put it out there. People thought it was just about athletics, but it wasn’t. I also want to add that, this is one of our problems in our community, we never get the facts before we judge someone.

When the interim talks about Dr. Bethune, it’s clear he doesn’t know this: “If we accept and acquiesce in the face of discrimination, we accept the responsibility ourselves and allow those responsible to salve their conscience by believing that they have our acceptance and concurrence. We should, therefore, protest openly everything… that smacks of discrimination or slander.” Quoted by Dr. Bethune. Coach Ed Reed had to speak out. We were raised on these words. We can not keep quiet. Who here remembers BCC in the old days!

First of all from a Gramblinite great job speaking out you all were very articulate I'm very impressed considering the lack luster situations you've had to deal with. You all represent what dr Mary mccleod bethune stood for which is excellence. The student body needs to do like Howard's students last year and occupy a building and do a mass demonstration daily until something is done. Ro should also go on that campus and meet with the students because it's becoming apparently clear they aren't going have a townhall on campus because the president is straight lying. I have a feeling he's going home real soon.

Brother Roland I didn’t see nothing wrong with Ed Reed asking for some of the area to be cleaned up. I was taught that the kitchen needs to be clean before cooking and serving dinner. I don’t think Ed Reed was exposing the School. I think it was his way of saying they need help. They need to sit down with Ed Reed and the students and talk about what happened a fix it. We all know Ed Reed track record for helping our young black youth and that should not be taken away from him by nobody. I’m very shocked that Reggie Theus is not giving Ed Reed the opportunity to explain his position about the acquisitions. IJS The children are watching all of this unfold…..

It really is that bad there at Bethune cookman. I've been fighting tooth and nail since the day my son step foot on campus 2.5 years ago. All administration needs to be removed. They give HBCU's a bad reputation.. Very unorganized. The staff there clearly don't care about the kids. Receiving their paycheck to sit and do nothing all day is what I've seen since my son has been there. We've been dealing with a situation since the summer that still haven't been resolved due to lack of staff communication and poor work ethics as a whole at the school. Leave messages and not one person returns phone calls.

@@darryelynnegordon9510 Document, Document, Document! What needs to be done has to be in writing you have to have a paper trail. When I file complaints I take it to the local library or your bank and have what I have written notorized, its free at those places! Send the letter with copies to the Administrator, your child's counselor or adviser and keep a copy make sure to have it signed for thru the postal service and request a notification card be sent once the letter is delivered it shows that it was received.I do the mail first to catch them off guard they normally answer if not wait 30 days (and record any calls) but request a response in writing. No calls or response in 30 days take the same letter along with a second letter(get notarized) now requesting a meeting to the office and have your child get them both stamped received which will have a date on it and get a copy after its stamped!!! That second letter tell them is because there was no response to this first. If you get lucky make sure to confirm the appointment maybe a day earlier especially if you live out of town, they have a tendency for you to show up and some emergency came up. Roland Martin is supposed to be there Friday I think but check his youtube site and I would attend that meeting (it will be live)if at all possible and voice your concerns. I hope you get the idea. If you have never written and don't have a paper trail its a lost cause!!!
