Thank you for all of this. Finally someone shoots the cat mob on 300 blk. I was hoping it would do better. I'm very happy with my JL though. Do you have a vent 2 and mobster compare on 9mm.

question for the ptr, my 300 black is 5/8 x 28 how did you figure that out looked on ptr website no other thread adapter and it seems like it comes with a 1/2x28 which is normal

The Vent 2 is "Alpha" threaded (1.125x28), which is a standardized thread used by several major can manufacturers including SilencerCo, Rugged, and HUXWRX. I believe all of those companies sell 5/8x24 direct thread mounts that would work. It can be hard to tell, but if it says it'll fit a SilencerCo Octane, Rugged Obsidian, or HUXWRX Rad 9 or 45, it'll fit the Vent 2. In this video I had a Rearden Atlas Alpha installed in the can to interface with the gun.

Awesome vid my dudes, most people only care about the JL vs Hyperion, but I’d like to know how close the Nomad Lti is on this, because I have one Coming for half off lol…what do you think?

People on the internet talk like the Nomad L and LT are significantly worse than the Hyperion, JL and Full Nelson, but its performance in person is impressive. With that kind of a discount it’s a no brainer imo!

Fantastic comparison! Glad I found this video. Obviously it’s hard to tell listening on my iPhone, but which one was the best? I’m leaning towards the JL. How close was the mob to the rest of the pack? Thanks.

The JL sounded the best to both of us, but honestly you wouldn’t going wrong with it, the Hyperion, or Nomad LT. The ODB’s lack of FRP is impressive, but it’s definitely louder than the long bois. The MOB was probably the loudest can of the day, but I think in a vacuum where it’s the only can you’re shooting, it’s more than quiet enough.

Thanks for sharing! Swamp Yankee Arms is the place to go. Good dudes Hard to tell on the vid. CAT JL or Hyperion? Almost sounds like the Hyperion just edges out the JL on dB but what do you think of the overall tone comparison?

Titanium. I'll be shooting it primarily on a 6.5 Creedmoor bolt action, but I was also curious to see how it performs with 300BLK. Needless to say, it's extremely impressive.

@@compositetiger I would consider the ODB very highly on your short list of cans. I've shot that on my MCX Rattler (5.5" barrel), and it was by far the most pleasant compared to cans like the Q Thunder Chicken and Liberty Precision Anthem S. This was before I got the JL, so I do need to try that can out on the Rattler, but I think the ODB has an advantage on semi-automatic guns with lower back pressure.

Chalk it up to a mediocre iPhone mic. There was one shot that I commented sounded potentially transonic, but the rest were 100% subsonic in person.
