I haven't been. here long, but I must say it feels like an insane experience seeing a list that is basically how I describe my music taste if asked specifically, and that alone isn't really all that amazing even if it feels insane to find someone who can both value Taylor Swift and Vince Staples, but I continue to be shocked by how much I love your country recommendations as someone who is on the record of not liking country music all that much but has loved Orville Peck. Vanilla by Avery Anna was my song of the year. It's a woman telling young girls to assert their boundaries and understand the boundaries of consent to avoid young men coercing them while also not being explicitly sex negative. And knowing the message applies to so many people that I love, and could help young girls out of traumatic experiences... Man it's the most beautiful thing I've heard all year.

Alright, here are my spoiler thoughts on the list: - WOW! So many repeated artists from last year. - Some songs I was surprised not to see on the Top 100 list: 'Nosedive' - Post Malone ft. Lainey Wilson (Biggest shock honestly) 'I'm Not That Girl' - Cynthia Erivo 'scared of my guitar' - Olivia Rodrigo 'supernatural' - Ariana Grande 'All To Myself' or 'Always Be My Fault' - Future, Metro Boomin, & The Weeknd 'Thought I Was Dead' - Tyler, The Creator ft. ScHoolboy Q & Santigold - Would have never predicted that number one! - All but two of the songs from the Midyear list made the Top 100. - Continued trend of a XXL Freshmen, artist who made a Worst Hits list, and a #1 hit for the year end song list. - So many surprises, especially with how high some of the songs were. Cheers to another year of great music!

And while I tend to agree that album bomb hits don't tend to count as "hits" by the traditional method, Florida stuck around for seven weeks, nearly two months. Who's Afraid of Little Old Me lasted 11 weeks. Given how well TTPD sold and streamed, it's legit possible that your average music listener heard it a few times. Ubiquitously, of course not, but possible. Hell, I wish it had played more.

That song was on the contrary received as one of the two worst tracks on that entire album.
