I used to run supply to the base. Before 9/11 you'd just drive in if you had a sticker. Never stopped at a gate and had access to most of the base. You'd have to sign in and get a pass if you went to more secure areas such as near the river. Nowadays I can only imagine what kind of ridiculous hoops one must jump through.

You’re an idiot, they have a job to do, and you don’t have the right nor privilege to just mozy onto any military installation and do what you want. Not civilian land, it’s federally owned, and once you cross the line onto it, your civilian laws and rights go right out the fucking window, and you become subject to UCMJ. You do not have the right to cross the fine line and just film, you can stand across the street and film whatever you can see with your eyes.. they crossed the fine line though, and if those MP’s wanted to be asshole’s, they could have detained these guys, and like I said no more civilian law. They would learn what UCMJ is.

Outside of their jurisdiction and facility they have no power over anyone, same as teacher doesn't have power over students outside of school, same as doctor has no power over his patients outside of hospital or city clerk can provide services only inside his facility. Every army in democratic countries are basically security companies owned by state and paid by public. They have no law authorities. Them telling you about policies is same thing when other public employees telling you about their policing. Means nothing. Just became they have legal right to carry weapons at their job, that doesn't mean they have any legal and law enforcement rights over anybody. Do you see difference now?

Excellent audit Rogue Nation and Tyrant Slayer Studios. fyi: for the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program, Nukes attended Nuke Power School at Orlando FL base and many followed with Prototype School at Idaho Falls ID which included the Nautilus prototype. School and prototype training has since been consolidated at Goose Creek SC.

Actually it's not illegal. Most military bases and posts have housing areas (open to active, retired and GS), parks and recreation areas, museums, theaters, bowling alleys, lakes/ponds, playgrounds, schools (all grades), shopping (PX/BX and concession), fast food and formal dining, camping and hotels (basically a self-contained city). All of which can and is photographed and videoed by members, families and visitors alike. A simple search one can see videos taken inside military post/bases all over social media. And that is why vehicles are not mandated to turnoff dash cams... unless entering a marked secured area. Even then, don't think they are... I don't. What is not authorized to be photographed or videoed are the clearly marked Secured Areas, and yes they are marked inside.
