The first person makes it looked even scarier and creepier. I could only imagine going first person when it comes to otherworld versions of Silent Hill and the infamous Toluca Prison. I still get jitters going through the Toluca prison.

Loving it so far. Taking my time on the first playthrough. Going through the apartments with a new layout, and then the otherworld blue creek apartments.. omg it's like playing the game for the first time. Amazing how faithful they remained while adding so much. Im loving it a lot. There's so many new experiences and that factor of getting lost and confused or missing an item and having to back track and explore places you don't want to but have to. Loving the scares, adrenaline, and relief of coming out on the other side. The thing that kills key moments in the game is the stuttering and the volume of certain spoken dialogue.

@WheeledHamster Imho I think games have become a bit too big for their britches. They insist on making them insanely realistic, but they now require extremely powerful and expensive PCs to run. Most people can't afford top-of-the-line hardware, so most people miss out on the full experience. Games should be made for the hardware that's readily available for most people.

This is excellent. I've always said that the third person perspective kills immersion in games, especially scary games; the most egregious being the Dead Space franchise. This here shows the potential of what Silent Hill could have been.

It's the temporal upscaling. On PC you can change the DLSS preset to one without nearly as much blur (via a mod).
