@@pfiddy7256 personally I don't subscribe to loop theory, as I feel it undermines a lot of the original games themes, but I love the idea of hidden messages from the devs to the fans. They knew the older more obsessed weirdos like us would be looking into these details, and didn't want us hunting for nothing.

@Nubzombie when playing through SH2 on release many times, i never considered a loop theory. I was surprised to hear you mention in your video that the loop theory went back to the original. However, as soon as I got the first momento flash back in the remake, i thought it was the plot they were going with. I understand the flashbacks in remake can be seen as a nod to old heads, but at what point does it just become more than just a theory? Thanks for your reply

This can mean anything, doesn’t necessarily have to be related to the loop theory. The guilt that James is having to face again and again. How James is reliving Mary’s death through Maria being killed again and again. Etc etc... Hella awesome find tho!!

@@sullymaybe actually no... the director, creature designer, and producer all stated he is not in a loop. There are a few explanations given by them that counter all of the dumb theories.

Although i'm not fan of that loop theory, I like how all of these look like 4th wall messages, most of us played the game hundreds of times. The "You've been here for two decades" photo message seem to fit only for the 2001 original release date, since the plot is set in the early 90's.

Actually according to core members of Team Silent, Silent Hill 2 is intended to take place in an unspecified date in the late-1970s or 1980s, prior to the 1990s. So no, it's before the 90's, that date was retconed

The bigger issue is that people are denying an obviously supported theory that this remake and the developers have pushed for since the games development. Maria dying several times and James facing Pyramid Head several times all happens in the same "loop" if you want to call it that, way to completely misunderstand my point. Repetition is not a loop

In fact, most monsters are representations of Jame's memories of Mary which as we already know aren't exactly accurate. Then there's the Mannequin which represents James's natural urges and inclinations and memories belonging to a hospital. If anything, the monsters are a part of James, not Mary
