I went to the japan expo the year akira yamaoka was there (just for him) and on the concert they threw we had Elizabeth on vocals and she wasn't announced. One of the best performance I've seen. Later I realized I saw Troy Baker on bass too.

I remember the PC version looking considerably sharper, ran at higher fps, and also had shadows up to 4096x4096 resolution which at the time was insane and most graphics cards couldn't handle that shadow setting until considerably later, unbelievable game.

I played this game on my 1.4 ghz pentium 3 computer with Windows 2000 and amd radeon 7500 64 mb vram and 512 mb ram. It was laggy (even on low settings) but the gaming experience was worth it.

​@@etrorainI think silent hill f is supposed to be *the* new game of the series and I think it looks very promising (even tho u didn't ask me :D) but the one thing that bothers me isn't even that it's somehow not directly in silent hill but that it is in a japanese/asian setting which gets milked so much by todays developers. Hopefully they put heart and soul into it and don't see it as a "oh look at this cool asian setting guys" cashgrab.

I remember buying this game at Game X-Change a year or two after it released. Played the first 15 minutes & was amazed. I completed this game & Silent Hill 2. I went back to that same store a year later & bought Silent Hill 4 but never followed up on it. I want to go back & complete 4 & the original. I also completed Downpour. All classics.

Not gonna lie. I would be happier if this was the SH receiving a remake instead of SH 2. An amazing ost for an amazing game. I hope we can get a SH 3 remake someday... I like SH 2 a lot, but 3 is my favorite of the franchise and i played almost all of them when they got released (specially the first 1 and since 3 is the continuation i like it even more). And this is one of the best intros ever made imo.

Konami is so incompetent that they lost the final build and the og VAs lines. no wonder the had collection was shit, they threw away the code belonging to these games and entrusted a studio that had nothing to do with the originals to fix those issues. I tried playing this game on pcsx2 but for some reason the FMV wouldn’t show up and it’s just a blank screen with the music playing. I have tried 2 iso from different sources and it still the same.

"what is that monster?" he is Valtiel! "What is he doing with the women hanging?" he's turning the valves for their enjoyment. "Does he create enemies?" No. "Do you ever encounter him?" Yes. People get the wrong idea because he looks weird and all but he's actually a pretty nice guy, when pregnant women get tired and have to lay down he helps them out.

The Monster is called Valtiel and he's probably the most mysterious creature in the franchise, he is never encountered as an enemy and is always seen turning those valves when the otherworld is taking over. According to the developers, he's kind of like a hand of God doing what he can to ensure that Heather Births God, he seems to control when the otherworld takes over reality and the only other point in the game in which he appears is in a very rare encounter when Heather dies where he appears to drag her body away, likely to birth God via other means
