So, uhm....wow. A million views. As silly as this may sound, I'd like to thank anyone who ever came by here to watch this clip, whether you see this message or not. Silent Hill 2 has always remained one of my top games. Not because it's psychological horror, but it's psychological struggle. And it came across brilliantly in this game. The music, the themes, the sheer ability to compose your own narrative and not be wholly disregarded. Been almost 20 years, and I'm very glad to see this community still persists, despite whatever setbacks the series had with inconsistent or uninspired plots. You all have my utmost thanks, and I hope you all made the remake enough of a success to, at the very least, keep the flame going long enough to reinvent the wheel. I long since thought the series should've died, once PT was canceled. But if a team like Bloober could capture that spark I felt all those years ago, then I'd happily admit....I might've been wrong.

THE most special video game ever. It etches itself into the subconscious, never to leave again. I played it when it came out and kept playing at least every 1-2 years since then. I'm 40 and I'm pretty sure even if I'll stop playing it in the future, I will still keep watching about it. An enigma this game is. Actually it is beyond a game, it is a stupefying anomaly that cannot be replicated again. Every bit of it is disturbingly beautiful. This is what was fascinating to me about silent hill. The first game was great, but it felt like the story had a finality to it, however its sequel proved that silent hill itself was an entity that didn't just tie itself to the cast of the first game, the pull and energy of the town effected the lives of many people completely unrelated to the story of Alessa, Harry and the others, its power pulled in many to it and created a hell for them either to overcome or be consumed by.

@@Rahhh._ Nope. Is the artstyle, the character models, the facial expressions, the voice acting, the color palette that make PS1/PS2 Silent Hill unique.

If they don't cut anything from the original game like Capcom is used to do with their resident evil remakes, I'll happily take it.

did anyone else notice the transition between the jail cell and the mirror scene of james? it makes him look like he's in jail, like in the original scene. can't believe the editing's on point for the opening too, such a great game

I believe this is the video that was shown at E3. I downloaded it in a laughable resolution and it was one of my most prized memories. Amazing to think it has been over 20 years
