These speedrunners are silly. Team silent are huge fans of Western literature, thats why every street name in Silent Hill is an author or a Stephen King alias. There are lots of references to content that clearly inspired them and the game. Silent Hill has always been based around the occult. Also People can have awkward conversations in real life, everyone complains that Silent Hill 2 has awkward Voice acting but have they ever considered that its awkward on purpose because IRL awkwardness is a thing? Even in Silent Hill 1. I think that others just have different expectations of how languages and conversations can go.
