Actually Silent Hill's creator said that in the canon of the game, Pyramid Head was really something created by James' mind and could only be seen by him.

I've figured it out at last! They're trying to help us with the new camera angle! Think about it, there's no L2 button to press so we can't use that to change the camera angle (any of you played Tomb Raider on the PSP its a right bitch to change the camera angle), it would be better to have this one that followed the character, however, i still agree that a cmaera a little further back would be better (but it should go over-the-shoulder when aiming)

This is actually the original version. It was scrapped and the project was given to Climax who changed a LOT of things in it. None of the monster from the original trailers made it into Climax's version nor did the design with all rooms open.

alchemilla hospital is where alessa is and pyramid head is no one othar than valtiel himself (the demon who always follows heather in sh3) there is a ghost from sh4 who was a priest from the valtiel sect and it was called "the red devil" because he always was wearing a red pyramid hood.

If i'd have to say. I'd say that i like all the Silent Hill franchise. Have not had the possibility to check out Origins. But of all SH my favorite is Sh2.

The CG animation looks a little like the design from Twisted Metal: Black. Also looks like they're taking the over-the-shoulder display from RE4 and Gears of War. For the PSP I'd say that control style would be a good idea.

Minwoo, you hold a point there. in past SH games there would be stuff rotting from the walls and dirt/blood everywhere....gameplay looks kinda like RE stuff. they should fix it in time it looks good, nonetheless :)

While I love Pyramid Head, I don't really think it would make sense to see them outside of James' storyline. I mean, they were HIS monster. Pyramid Head is a monster that James created in a way... just like all the characters in Silent Hill 2 are in some way a reflection of who he is. I really wish they would release this on PS3...

While Team Silent isn't directly affiliated with SHO, it may end up being good, you never know, but remember this: This is simply a PSP prequel, it is not directly related with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th games. And I'm sure that if there is a 5th, Team Silent/Konami will develop it fully and it most likely will not take on any poor aspects of this title [If it does, indeed, end up being a total waste of time]

For wat I seen in the nine minute intro, it's going to be old school gameplay, not RE4 style. BTW, for wat I know, (posible SPOILER) he turns in piramid head at the end of the game (sorry for my speling, not born lenguaje)

i agree, except for standard monsters (Zombie nurses,bugs.etc) it seems like the monsters were different for each character's mind, and if that shot of that building at the 2 minute mark is in game footage, then ill probably buy a psp just for this...that is unless some one knows a good psp emulater.....any one?

first time I played...my total estimate in hours would be over 8 hours because I could not figure shit out...and then after that I played again, and beat it all again last night under 4 hours...played again today...and was already really close to beating it under 3 hours

This video shows the entrance to a different hospital than Brookhaven... Um, isn't Alchemilla Hospital in the northern section of Silent Hill? North of Toluca Lake? Cause if it is, that means you would be exploring the area from the original game... Not the southern area of town that you explore in parts 2 and 3. Which I guess would make sense as to why the town looks a little different as well... just saying.

This game is gonna rock. Also Team Silent wrote the story for it so you know the story line will be good and I'm not worried about the camera angle because it's on a handheld so I knew there would be drawbacks.

Man i so hope this is using early footage and designs, as it kinda looks seven shades of shite at the moment, the only decent things i've seen (or heard) so far are the music, which isnt really hard to screw up when you have Akira on yourside, and the monster noises. Even that trailer looked like it had been edited together by some random guy on the net!!!
