I remember doing something similar to what you did in the beginning, but hear me out: double chain gun back unit, left-hand machine gun, and that one crest core with the exceed orbit that has two machine guns on it. Five machine guns firing at once! I'm genuinely not sure if it's possible to get higher DPS. Also, God bless you for bringing my fondest teenage memories into 2023 with fun memes.

That AC build reminds me of my "complete the mission at any cost" build in AC Verdict Day, where I just put on the biggest guns and heaviest armor and just expect to go into debt after barely surviving it. Thankfully, that was usually reserved for the boss of the game.

I've been playing through all the AC games in release order and i just beat Silent line last weekend, don't think any of the other games had me rebuilding my AC's just to clear some missions. Started up nexus just to try out the more modern controll scheme, and man it feels weird when you've built up the muscle memory for the earlier games.

It was weird for me at first, too. Especially since I went straight to nexus after silent line. Even debated on keeping the old controls, but the new controls are so much better it's hard to go back to 3 and SL

I always thought the idea of AC was cool but I've only played the 2 psp games and my experience with them was just failing my way to the endings and circle strafing in the arena. :(

The game gets much better for me mapping the look functions to the face buttons. Still clunky but then when you hit Nexus or LR you can use the sticks, get some new face button functions and have the same trigger layout as Type B. We're way too spoiled now.

There is a hard mode, isn't there... I honestly forgot about it cause I just loaded up my AC3 save and that was on normal. Idk if I'll bother atm. Guess that would be a good excuse to go through AC3 on Hard. Last Raven wasn't too bad. Zinaida and the Quad Pulverizer were the only missions that took multiple tries and gave me some trouble (Zinaida actually being hard, and the map being small for the Quad).

Are you playing on emulator? Why didn't you just remap your controls? Personally I made up and down on the analog stick my "look up/down" My left gun is L2 and my right is R2 for easy firimg of both while strafing.

I tried that, but my controllers have a lot of drift. I tried to clean them and use a program(reWASD), but those didn't help. Either way I'm fine with the defaults nowadays
