This is my favorite version of Silent Night. Anytime I listen to this I am filled with gratitude towards the Savior and for His redeeming grace because He saved me when everything seemed lost. Silent Night is the hymn that got me through the hardest and darkest time of my life. Such a beautiful rendition! David Archuletta sang to the missionaries in the MTC on Christmas Day last year and my son had the privilege of being there. I'm grateful for this singer's example and service to those around him, especially on a day when he could have been home with his family.

Sends shivers up my spine. I fell from my faith a while back, but upon my return, the words to this song strike me to my core in the most moving of ways. God's grace is not beneath any of us, and if we truly open our hearts to His voice, and accept our fallen nature, but strive to overcome it with His guidance, He will hold us as a loving father does, and show us that there is an ascendant way of life to live as well as the path to overcome our sin and truly appreciate what we can truly become. My advice is not to call out to God and expect a human voice to answer. Listen to that inner voice as it becomes more and more clear -- it will guide you in the most loving of ways. Thank you God for sending your only Son to redeem us, help us to transcend the ways of this ungodly world of the beast, and liberate us from it. I am awaiting His return, and I pray that my efforts to make amends for my transgressions against Him are received with open arms. God bless you all, and please have a Merry Christmas. Remember the reason for the season.

I love this kid as if he were my own child! He's such a great example to our church. He stayed true to his faith by going on a mission, even when it could have compromised his career. I do not know why that was done, or who did it, but whoever did it, certainly appears to be an anti-Christ. "By this you will know the Spirit of GOD, every spirit that confesses that Jesus/ Yahshua is the Christ/haMashiyach has come in the flesh is of GOD, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus/Yahshua is not from GOD, this is the spirit of anti-Christ of which you have heard that it is coming, and already in the world." 1st. John 4:1. "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge JESUS CHRIST as coming in the flesh (means JESUS was born as a human being). Whoever caused that song to be interrupted and that the words "JESUS LORD at the BIRTH" is giving themselves away, and when this choir sings "Hark the herald angles sing," they also omit the words, "Hail the incarnate deity! Again I ask why, and who is doing this. The choir director is giving himself away knowingly or not knowingly. Christmas is the Celebration of GOD HIMSELF being BORN of a woman named Mary, and her SON being JESUS CHRIST GOD the SON. the Messiah the incarnate deity. Why did they sing a verse that is different than the original verse? Ask GOD for wisdom!

I keep going back to "Silent Night" because it is familiar but yet different and an all new song. I love this guy because at first I didn't remember him on American Idol but knew I knew of him and of course memories of this concert that I am sure I have listened to more than he has! What is so endearing about this very smart and gentle young man is what he has done since being thrust into fame. Instead of being a party guy and giving his soul up to whatever it takes to make it, he does this, a celebration of the birth of Christ with America's most famous and respected Choir of the Mormons! Can't help to love David. He is so handsome and projects a very approachable man, my very nice next door neighbor. A friendly kind and respectful young man. The kind of guy your parents will love. I hope for him as much success as he desires and ask everyone to support him by purchasing his music wherever sold. It has been many years since this performance and David does have a beautiful new song out titled, "Numb". Please find it and listen to it a few times and hear he is still David Archuleta. Genuine... It's not even November yet here I am listening to this rendition once again. I lost my mum last month and this was her (and my granddad's/her dad's) favourite Christmas hymn. It makes me feel close to both of them even though I didn't know grandad much, I don't really know what I believe religiously, former member of the church thinking of converting to Judaism but considering returning to church so I guess you could say I'm confused. David is an incredible talent. He doesn't just sing lyrics, he feels them. After devoting two years of his young life to missionary work I hope his absence did not fatally damage his career. His first act when he returned in March was to visit our troops in the Middle East. This and other actions I've witnessed indicate to me he is a man of moral righteousness, integrity and honor - quite unlike that young fellow from Canada. I'm an old man so perhaps my perspective is skewed. But IMHO from this point forward I would like to see David devote his life to sacred music as he is now in a position to greatly influence this genre for many year to come. Something of a male equivalent to Sandy Patty if you will. Wouldn't it be refreshing to have this mix of talent and godliness be an integral part of our musical and spiritual future?
