I am a Southern Baptist but I have been listening to this choir since I was 9 or 10 and all of your anthems speak to my heart in a personal way. I am now 40 and I have been singing choral music in high school, college, and now church choirs for over 20 years. For me, it is a labor of love! Thank you for all that you do in His Holy Name! Mormons, you are so loved by me. I grew up in a different type of church. Your group impresses me in the boldness you express in worship singing all of the beautiful songs. There should never be bad words spoken for all the Mormons do & try to do good through Faith in the Lord in America. Your choir music has lifted my spirits throughout my life-time. I'm now 50 years old, but even as a boy; I delighted in and loved the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Keep up the good you do and try to do. America needs you & people rely on your worship leadership. I go to worship with you daily by listening to your broadcasts on KZbin.

No one is going to do anything for you, to you unless it is part of God's plan for you! All human kind needs to do for grace and mercy is to breath the name of Jesus and he will wrap you in his Love! You do? why? you do all you say by yourself. There is no one more powerful than you and do not ever forget that. The Jesus thing is all an illusion and a great fairy tale
@williammorrison509810 жыл бұрын
***** if Jesus Christ is an illusion then this whole earth your life and mine are all just a great big illusion. I know with all my heart that he is real because I have felt his spirit many many times and saying that he is an illusion is like saying we don't need anything oxygen to live. In our r lives we try the best we can to do all that we can, but there is a point that we can't do anymore and that is when Christ comes into our lives and does the rest or gives us the strength and ability to finish.
@tpstrat1410 жыл бұрын
William Morrison not everybody gets strength from Christ. Some people get strength from beauty, peace, love, science, art, music, friendship. The world doesn't revolve around your beliefs.
@tigeritaly1239 жыл бұрын
Timothy Stratton To be fair, not everyone gets strength from your sources either. What gives you the right to come and berate a man for the things he believes? And if you say it's because he was berating Raymond J, then again i ask, what gives Raymond J the right to come in and put down a man for what he believes? No one is forcing you to accept or believe in anything, so can't you just leave people alone?
@tpstrat149 жыл бұрын
Kyler Williamsen William Morrison said "saying it's an illusion is like saying we don't need oxygen to breathe." I don't doubt that it is that way for him, but he said it's that way for everyone. I don't know if he really believes that human beings can't survive without believing in Jesus, but that's what he said, so I rebutted his narcissistic nonsense by telling him how I survive just fine without his beliefs. I notice this kind of sulking from Christians all over. You get hurt and cry when your beliefs are questioned in the slightest. Well, I have no intention of keeping your beliefs holy for you. Do that for yourself. If it really does comfort you to believe in the nonsense of Christianity, then go for it. More power to you. Any way you can get by is amazing. Survival sometimes requires very, very tricky methods. I on the other hand, cannot believe in something that is not actually true.

4 months ago, In September 23, 2013. My Wife, who passed away, This song really gives me encouragement when I feel discouraged and also disappointed, Oh My God, Help me now.... When I am down and, oh, my soul's so weary, When troubles come and my heart burdened be, Then I am still and wait here in the silence Until you come and sit awhile with me. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains, You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas. I am strong when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up to more than I can be. [Instrumental break] You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains, You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas. I am strong when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up to more than I can be. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains, You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas. I am strong when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up to more than I can be. I really don't agree with the re-arranging ANYONE does with a piece of music any more. Modifying for different instruments that didn't exist then or don't now is one thing, but when they tamper with tempo, lyrics, timing, ect. it's depressing. It also makes it harder every year to find the original versions. Just look at "The Star Spangled Banner". Fewer and fewer Americans every year know that there are FOUR incredible verses that tell a gripping story about some of our earliest American Patriots, their Faith in God and Trust in each other ! Not just one verse sung to a modified tune about our Proud, Noble, Stars and Stripes.

Thank you, thank you. How can one not be raised up after listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. You raise us up no matter what church we praise to God. You are all truly Angels.

they raise us up if we praise no God at all. I'm atheist and I loved this...

Timothy Stratton That's great. I know some really neat atheists, by the way. What a great way music is to connect with our brothers and sisters of different backgrounds!

I personally consider music like this to be our Father's gift to all of His children, regardless of belief or not. Either way, what a gift!

Yes the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is something wonderful in this world and I hear it whenever I seek rest. The choir exudes a great deal of love and security and brings peace and quiet into a world so hectic. Thank the people the others with their songs much joy, God bless this fantastic choir. Mherelynn Martin, that is really nice, I was also taught by missionaries in my home in Uruguay, and this choir and the Book of Mormon also touched my heart. Later I was blessed with the opportunity to serve as a full time missionary and help on carrying this wonderful message to everyone. I would urge you to keep reading the Book of Mormon and I know your life will be blessed by that.
