Holy cow, how good does Abe's kit sound. Absolutely immense!!

Young kids with little drums often tell me "Your drums sound *huge*" to which I always reply "it's not hard. You just need to start with huge drums.

@steevidrums Жыл бұрын
@@livemusicalgarve That snare, those toms, that kick, that room... and THAT drummer. One of the Phattest grooviest mofos around. I saw this and jumped on the kit and tried to play with the same huge feels and swagger... I failed. But I was inspired. That's the best any drummer can do to a fellow drummer!

Abe certainly has the best current Bonham feel and vibe - love the video!

Keltner has got to be one of the coolest cats alive. An absolute legend and one of the most humble, generous, and soulful dudes you could ever meet. He looks great (82!) and is playing just as good as ever. Keltner has double drummed with so many other incredible players (Keltner's work with Jim Gordon is for the ages) and Abe is in great company with such a sympathetic partner as Keltner.

@8:26 notice how Abe spots his right crash drooping, then corrects it with an upstroke? How fucking cool was that!?

Jim Keltner... the most underrated drummer ever, he played with every rock legend, ando he never get the credit.

You just gave it to him !
@whiskersb52967 ай бұрын
He always gets the credit. He’s highly rated. Everyone knows him and his work. Why do people say stuff like this? Because he isn’t John Bonham?
@morbidmanmusic4 ай бұрын
no. he is very very very well known
@James-In-Exile17 күн бұрын
But everyone who truly knows music still knows his name and honours his genius. His humility is also a factor in his level of wider fame. He could have been a full Wilbury alongside Dylan, Harrison, Orbison et al, but refused - instead accepting the moniker Buster Sidebury.

wow, what a treat to the ears. amazing sound. the amount of work that goes into a room like that is massive. very impressive musicians in the room too.
@ibleebinU Жыл бұрын
This is so true. When you have a room that compliments your instuments, drums especially, it brings out the best in your creativity. Of course, hanging out with these legends would help with that too! 🥁

So many words about the cool sound, but nobody really hear the pure sound directly (without any stuff like headphones, monitoring room etc.). At least in this video. Selfcheating.
