The iron cage device in this video is a so-called flower frog, used to arrange flowers in the days before the foam florists use nowadays at the bottom of a vase. Here’s an article on them. www.examiner.com/article/decorating-with-vintage-flower-frogs I just discovered asmraurette yesterday thanks to Heather Feather having mentioned her on her blog a couple years ago. Heather held her videos in equal high esteem with those made by cutebunny992 who recently returned to KZbin after a long absence. I’m glad some of asmraurette’s work was saved and shared. I love her crisp voice, and no-nonsense yet playful attitude. Her “What ASMR artists think” video is hilarious. I also like watching her because she shared her life and interests. I can see she is the type of person who, if she started having problems with being online, that she would be able to chuck it and not look back, but I hope one day she decides making videos was fun enough that she fits doing it into her busy life again. I want to hear how the environmental law goes for her, too. She is a unique voice on the Internet, which is not easy to be. I loved hearing her tell us her favorite bands, too.

Also, only do it if you enjoy it. If it's stressful, or no fun, go and do something else. Your state of mind is really important and, I find, comes through a lot in videos. I love making these, and I think it shows. I've made a few when I've been stressed or peeved, and overall, I'm WAY unhappy with those ones.

i think that "cage" is a flower frog. it goes in the bottom of a vase and is used for arranging flowers in the vase. one of the other asmrers had a flower frog in his video but it was glass.

@mommy12351 as the investigator I am, I searched through reddit, a video containing a Facebook page of a friend had apparently left access for people to view others on her friends list, leaving asmraurette's personal information available via fb. THIS OUT OF EVERY REASON THERE IS WAS THE MOST PROBABLE CAUSE FOR HER DEPARTURE. Its really sad that she decided to do this.

I'll preface by saying: There are a LOT of whisperers and asmr artists. It doesn't mean you won't find a place, but it is very difficult to get a big following. As long as you are ok with getting harrassed crudely and regularly by trolls, and possibly having very few subs, I say go for it. I started thinking I'd absolultely never get more than a hundred. I didn't even know if I'd have any, but I *enjoy* making videos. I make them half for my own enjoyment.
