Yes it's called "The desk of the Ruhrgebiet" meaning the wealthiest and polished city in this area which otherwise has been dominated by coal mining and heavy industries.

Not even 5 mins in and I know I want to live here. My city is dealing with drug issues and is in a pretty deteriorated state. But this is gorgeous on all levels. The old, the new, the cleanliness, the ease of walking so much. Love it.

I have lived in DUS and now live in Texas. DUS has a high quality of life and many job opportunities. It has a great location. Close to Cologne and other cities like Duisburg, Bochum, Brussels, etc. It has a big international airport. However, the city also has gotten extremely expensive with very high rents. Your income has to be quite good to make it work in DUS.

Nee, das ist nicht mehr mein Düsseldorf. Bin dort 1951 geboren und habe bis 1970 dort gewohnt, Worringerstr.49, also mitten drin. Vor allem das Rheinufer hat seinen Charme total verloren.
