Something worth noting, that clock is too fast for sugarcane, if you test with one bonemeal you’ll get two sugarcane. However if you test with 10 bonemeal you will only get 10 or so sugarcane with this design. Putting the repeater on the clock to 4 ticks slows it down enough to make it 100% bonemeal efficient
@williamludwick772 жыл бұрын
I tried this on the Xbox Series X (Bedrock version) on a single player world, and this didn't work. In fact it failed to produce any as the pistons were extended while it attempted to bone meal the sugar cane and resulted in nothing growing. Maybe that timing works on a server or realm but single player. I even tried leaving it on 1 tick while changing the back repeater to 4 ticks, same result - no growth. Possibly might work if some combination of repeater timings are changed, but from my testing, leaving it as Silent showed in his tutorial is correct.

@hurryingglint232 жыл бұрын
@@vkvienz938 Chunk alignment does not truly matter. I have never chunk aligned any of his builds and I have never had any issues. The only issue I ever had is when it comes to directional builds. Even with iron farms the only risk you have from it not being chunk aligned is that the villagers may have a chance of despawning if they are on a chunk boarder. I have had two iron farms roughly 100 something blocks away.. I did it so they would always be running from the center of my afk spot.. never had any issues and it’s been my months of afking and built over a year ago
@oaksparoakspar31442 жыл бұрын
Unless you are stocking an entire server, just a single block auto farm for these is typically more than sufficient. You can, of course, build a system with all three of these in it with minimal separation (putting the delaying repeaters before the kelp on the end) and choose which run or not when the machine is on based on which ones you put bonemeal in. Of course, if you build the sugar cane one you can just replace some with bamboo - as the higher ceiling, double piston, and waterlogged hoppers don't prevent it form working in any way.

Nice tutorial Silent! I have a question if you think a ravager powered sugarcane farm would be efficient?
@silentwisperer2 жыл бұрын
No reason to use ravagers, pistons are fine:) Ravages would probably harvest faster for a farm like this though
@oaksparoakspar31442 жыл бұрын
That one has some issues. First, you have to keep the ravager moving when it would rather just stand still or keep moving towards whatever it is targeting - so you would need to get it retargeting on either side of a path limiting your farm to a long run based off of the ravager's perception distance. Second, you have to deal with collection. It is easy enough to protect the base plant by surrounding it in blocks, you then would have either a very weaved in minecart system though an allay based pick up system would probably work better. Given that you have to source and name a ravager as well, this just seems like a bad build when you could do so many other options. It would earn a lot of coolness points, however, so if that is what you are after, go for it.

I built this design for kelp and I am absolutely loving it! I first built a super smelter, then I built this farm and a system to make dried kelp blocks and send them into the smelter. Now I need to make a bonemeal farm to hook up to this kelp farm so that it can run at a constant while the smelter is on. Do you know how much bonemeal the kelp farm uses per minute or per hour, so I can pick the right bonemeal farm design? (I built the 10 plant design)

There are so many ways to skin a cat when it comes to a bamboo/sugar cane farm I go for aesthetics, but a bone meal farm is worth tucking away just because it is so quick and cheap a build you can take the 30 seconds to stick one under your outhouse or something.

Hey Silent. If you had time could you please make a creeper farm that could alternately feed into a trident killer or the blast chamber of the wither skull farm. There seem to be a few creeper farms on yt but your farms always work. Thanks for your dedication to the bedrock community 👍
@SuperPoodleboy Жыл бұрын
Silent has said before that creeper only farms aren't very efficient on Bedrock because of the way mob spawning works, so you are better off building a general mob farm and sorting the creeper drops out from the other mob drops. As far as I know, stopping non-creepers from spawning in your creeper/mob farm doesn't have a significant effect on the number creepers that spawn so you might as well allow the other mobs to spawn and harvest their drops at the same time.

The sugar cane farm only needs one row of pistons now, because sugar cane can grow on mud blocks, and hoppers work through mud. I do like your waterlogged hopper design, but I like to put the water under the dispensers so I can put the hoppers a block lower, under the mud. Nice build though, simple and efficient. I like it.
@sid007gaming Жыл бұрын
Bro my sugercane is not growing but if i turn the pistons off then it grows why this happening plzz reply ne
@Naomi_Boyd Жыл бұрын
@@sid007gaming The sugarcane can't grow if the piston is extended above it. If that is when you are bonemealing, it won't work. You have to toggle the redstone signal between the piston and the dispenser. The solution I use, on my design, is an observer above the piston, with a redstone torch on the back of it that activates a sticky piston. The sticky piston moves a redstone block up and down. When it is retracted, it activates the piston, and when it is extended, it activates the dispenser. My design is not tileable though, so you might play around and come up with your own solution.
