Thank you for showing us the Cameo 4, which I am definitely buying, but I am waiting for the 15” or 20”. I am super excited about the increased force. I had a Cameo 2 and currently have the 3 and have always said I would pay $500 for a more robust machine. Looks like my dream is coming true!

Unfortunately there seem to be zero videos on how to use the cameo 4 for someone who has never owned on. How to load the mat, etc. I guess it will be identical to the cameo 3 ?

I am new to Cameo 4 and have watch many of your videos. After using the 3 for years I still found many of your tips very new and useful. thanks. My problem at this time is that my auto blade is cutting too deep....ON THE FIRST cut. I laid out three items to cut today. the First cut went all the way through the material (white sticker) As this has happened before, I laid out the next two cuts, without making any adjustments. These two were perfect with no problems. This is very frustrating. any suggestions? The blade had not been removed since my last use. I've only made about 10 vinyl cuts and don't believe there should be any build up of material on the blade. Judy

It's likely that your blade is not fully down in the carriage. There should not be a gap.

Hi Melissa, thank you so much for the video.Is it possible for you to please measure where the lid slides out the back - how far out it pokes out and also how high off the table it is? I have mine on preorder and so excited, but worried that the shelving unit I use will work for it as there is a metal bar that runs horizontally along the back as a stabliser.... want to get its new home ready before it arrives haha.

So when I get the new machine and we do the update for it to recognize the new machine, will I still be able to use my cameo 3 too? Sorry I know it's probably a crazy question, but I've only had the cameo 3 about a yr now and I know that some of the tools won't be able to be used in each of the machines models, so I just wanted to make sure the software will still be able to be used for both machines or pick up the cameo 3 once I update it for the cameo 4. I'm still quite new to all this, and still have some confusion about it all, but am learning as I go. I really want to go ahead and order the new cameo 4, but I think I want to wait until the 20 inch comes out. Especially since so many rolls of vinyl are 15+ inches wide.

La Tanya Wilson Get an Easy Press 2.0 if you are a beginner. It works wonderfully and is a great way to jump in without dedicating a lot of space and money.

I received a cameo 4 for Christmas. I made several designs and cuts without any problem. Then I had an iron on image and flipped it. With that design and cut it began sending every cut to a queue and saying it qas complete. I can not get any project to cut now.

Have you ever had an issue with the vinyl roll going off the rollers? I have an issue where the vinyl goes in straight but eventually as it’s going through the cutter it seems to go away from one of the rollers and then it messes up my project. I have the silhouette 2

Hi Just starting to use the cameo for the first time. Bought version 4. Finally got the computer to talk to the cutter. Problem it will not cut the sticker vinyl. All I got was a few scratches at gauge 10 and pressure 30. Then tried a piece of copy paper. Cot some cuts but only clean cuts partially. What is going on ?? Please help. Think I have wasted $300 !!!!

Hello Melissa, I unboxed by new Cameo 4 which I bought a month ago and this is the problem: firmware needs updating (1.03) I plugged in the usb cable as directed, clicked on update now - it flashes other instructions, such as do not turn off; however, nothing happens - I left on overnight thinking it was working in the background. I then downloaded the firmware and extracted to my desktop; however, after following the direction from the website - I get an error message after clicking ok please when it tells me to connect and power on - the error message I get is "Error, please check connection with Cameo" - I don't know what or where else to go. I have restarted in between each attempt. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Can anyone tell me how to make letters go from tall to short? What I am trying to do is start word out tell and make the letters get shorter at the end of the word? I am using a Silhouette Cameo 4. I would like to make a word kind of like a ramp.

Thte right tool carriage can only be used with the speciality blades: 3mm Kraft Blade, Punch Tool, and Rotary Blade.

Cheryl Barrett Silhouette has dedicated pens for drawing so I don’t think you can use another brand (I believe they are fairly thick) and it does read svg files. I hope that helps.

Shelly Moffat hey I just got my cameo it’s simple you go to the cartridge 1 it’s sorta of a circle cut in half. One half you can pull it opens the circle larger you slide your auto blade in place and then push the half back and it locks it in place. It’s not hard I figured it out on my own.

Very poor video. How many times does she say she just got off the plane? Who cares? All I wanted to know is does this thing cut fabrics like the Cricut. VERY poorly done. TD. OMG, at her rate, her "hour long video" would contain about 5 minutes worth of useful info. We can't forget to comment on her 'clock' every once in awhile ... Very frustrating to watch an un-re-boxing as well.
