Just slowly read through the notes from your blog and it seems the machine will decide if firmware needs to be updated. Mine shows 1.03. So hopefully now only need to calibrate. Thanks Melissa. Need a glass of wine now!!

Hi i got cameo 5, trying to cut craft foam w craft blade. Im having issues , i have the craft blade on carriage 2, can i also leave auto blade in carriage 1 at the same time? It for some reason wont print. What should blade settings be for craft blade for craft foam anyoke know ?? Any ideas or advice would be appreciated as ive not been able to use my silhoutte it wont send/print. :( Also is it bluetooth only or can a cable be used to connevt to computer ? This did not come w a cable. My cameo 3 was so mucj simpler and had no issues printing. Also used cable to connect.

Hey Melissa! Thanks for the video. I have watched a couple others while waiting for yours to drop and have a couple of questions I’m hoping you can answer in your next video. 1) With the Cameo 5 & new way of cutting off the roll are we still able to unload from the back? (So the roll stays loaded.) 2) When using the roll holder there is a piece that looks like a cover that just sticks out of the front serving no purpose but to take up extra space and look ugly. Can you tell if it can be removed without hurting anything? The reason I ask is because I only use the cameo with the roll holder - it’s always out. My main cameo 4 always has a roll of white on it, my second always has silver, my pro is the one that I use for other colors off the roll and my Cricuts are the machines that I use for mat cutting. It would be really inconvenient for me to have to reload every single time and deal with that cover sticking out 24/7. Also worth mentioning I found out that Silhouette is making Handmade members wait 3 months post release to use the discount and I’m curious as to whether you’ve always had to purchase the machines. 🤔 I was thinking they’d send them to you for free, all things considered.

The roll must be loaded from the front. To connect the roll feeder there is a piece that needs to be removed. That same piece is also removed for the ES base. This machine and the Curio 2 I purchased. I have been sent some machine in the past, but I've also purchased probably half of them.

I have a pretty important question/issue... I followed all things here weeks ago when you set up yours, I set up mine.. (cameo 5) and I have made cuts with no issues, and now for some reason, I went to cut on HTV glitter / but when it loaded my mat, it apparently didn't pull it in far enough and has literally cut triangles out on the mat, I realize these mats are fairly thinner than most of my others, but again, I had the cameo 2.. so I was/am/had been using other mats from other mfr's, but I'm using the one that came with this cameo 5. but I have had such a time with the loading.... I DO NOT KNOW WHY! I've never had issues, and I didn't prior to last night, at first I thought maybe it was showing me using the mat in the send panel, and its very different than the 2 send panel of course, but I really don't see a "mat" option and I wanted and did, use the Kraft blade 3 but it only gives me the options for Kraft blade 2, and I have just simple circles to cut out and I do not know what the heck.. but when I go to the send panel it adds a bunch of squiggles!!?? .. I HAVE NO IDEA! BUT MY BIGGEST PROBLEM is the mat not being pulled into the machine far enough ... I literally had to feed the mat up into the machine about to the same / part / point where actual blades are housed... I really have no idea why,,,, why would it feed fine and then not and then cutting into the mat. is there a way to recalibrate the machine?? I don't see how it would be off when it arrived fine.. and now its not... if you could help or should I try customer service?? THANKS SO MUCH.. I HOPE THIS IS SOME WEIRD ERROR .. I'VE TRIED TO GO THRU AND RECHECK.. BUT I was cutting the other day.. oh and that was on card stock .. not that that should matter, and then my REAL ISSUES was last night w/ the Glitter HTV but only that it wasn't loading the mat correctly... and now trying to cut craft foam.. but its not recognizing the blade 3... I did read another persons comment about showing you on FB.. but if I need to send pics I can ... I just need to know where on FB you are ... to be sure. thanks so very much for ANY help!!

What do you mean? Just turn on the bluetooth on the machine and install the software and it will connect. I will have a full setup video or blog post as well.

Thank you for making this video. I'm an absolute idiot. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get that stupid piece out that was tapped in the back. Of course turning the machine around was apparently a lot harder than getting frustrated and using inappropriate language.
