So for the Grim reaper fight, it seems like you can trigger it early and use retries, as you get less for each of the 5 tasks you complete, by 4/5 you only have the one life and have to reload a previous save to continue. On the 4/5, Grim reaper showed up, so you don't have to force yourself to do it.
Unlocked the newest difficulty and ran the main story with the restore ending, into the core explosion endings into leave the world as is ending. Did loaded to save some time, as you can get a secret lvl 6 basic weapon at the 2nd stage by scrolling.
After using all the expensive weapons, the only one I like is the poison cloud. Even boomerang which I liked at lower levels, gets too big and cumbersome, so you can't line it up on the enemies body for more hits the higher the level. The rest are just weird or have too low a damage for the costs, both in money and in resources to use them. I'd presume some have niche properties, like not being capable of being reflected, but it's a shame they weren't some ace in the hole type of situation. Thinking about it now, some might be good to just run out the bar so I can get automatic fire again on my lvl 6 basic weapon instead of eating attacks to deplete it.
This game is pretty bizarre in its completion. Before reading up on it, since the story is at the very end for its path changes, you could just put a save there and just continue forward to each one, but if you want credit, you gotta just restart the whole game. It makes the process pretty tiring, especially when the game isn't that hard till like near the end of chapter 4.
This games camera is a bit wonky, with the added benefit of foreground obstruction, as your and the enemies health bars can block what is happening behind it. Since Mirage like to run into corners at times, this can be a bit problematic and like the car chase, can just have you fighting in the fog of war. Topped with that, you'll get large stages, but even though the camera can extend outward, you just get this cramped camera that just goes back and forth when it feels like it. Shame to have the chance, but have it mostly unused throughout the game.
The swapping of sides mechanic feels pretty bad. Now, your base can work for the majority of the game, but if you actually need to switch, like with the reaper fight to actually reflect reliably, it costs 100 materials and a time frame to do it. If it was quicker and had a cheaper cost, it'd be one thing, but I found that chucking 1/3rd of your bar just to be able to attack left instead of right, not really worth it. Never got the explosion attack to work in tutorial or game, so no idea what that's about.
Shop could definitely use some fine tuning. It's pretty slow to use in general, but if you find something special, you have to haul through like 50 items to get to the lvl 6 and the thing that you'll be using the most, health, is regulated to the top, so you have to scroll to get the most usable thing every time you use it.
For bugs, usually the most common is just enemies going through objects, usually just a detriment, but sometimes a game ender, like my first run where the boss fell through the level and I had to reset. Had the game freeze on me one time after going past the muscle boss.
It can be a fun game to go through, I'd probably just suggest doing a save near the end and just doing the path changes, over replaying through the entire game.
