Thanks for the intro! I'll be checking out the rest of the series as well of course... in the mean time, please put together some tutorials for Resolve and Fusion. Any idea about compatibility with Scratch and Mistika?
@BorisFXco4 жыл бұрын
The main functionality is the same, regardless of host. Resolve has a couple of limitations on the host side, but Fusion Studio works as shown. Hook the Silhouette Paint node up to your source, pipe in external sources if you need to, then hit the Open Silhouette button just as you would in AE. Great idea to make a video that just shows this bit. I will add it to the list. Scratch and Mistika are not approved hosts in this initial release but I can't say anything about the future.

Why is my footage BLACK or BLANK? I'm using a PNG Sequence. It says that PNGs are compatible, so I'm confused. Please Help, Thank You?

Select the footage node in the tree. In the Parameters take a look at the Fill dropdown. Change that to Opaque. If you're still having problems, please join us on the forums : forum.borisfx.com/

You skipped the step at kzbin.info/www/bejne/q57Ok6SQp7edjrc . How did you motion track the frozen frame of the cloned/cleaned up buildings to the original footage? I don't see how this could be done with Mocha's planar tracking since the paint layer follows the perspective.
@BorisFXco4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike. The buildings in the original footage were tracked in Mocha, using a simple rectangle around them and with perspective turned on. The only thing that needed to be done was to align the surface to the painted frame. To do this, go to the first frame in Mocha (the one that was painted) and hit the Align Surface button. This pushes the tracking data out to the edges of the frame. This tracking data was applied to the paint layer and it all lines up perfectly. Does this help?

Any latest tutorial for motion track as did here
@BorisFXco2 жыл бұрын
It's currently still the same process with Silhouette. Track, paint one frame, then Auto Paint the others. Is there something we're missing? Please just ask.

When I clone the building after using the interactive button by dragging the image up to extend the building the clone works find but when using the offset by moving the building in like it was done in this tutorial nothing happens the clone brush is not painting in the building but I see the info in the paint history panel
@BorisFXco4 жыл бұрын
That's odd. Are you seeing changed Position numbers in the Clone parameter area at the bottom of the screen? Is the viewer set to Output? Have you got Caps Lock turn on? Those are three things to check off the top of my head. If you are still having trouble, hit us up in the forums : forum.borisfx.com

@@BorisFXco I had my settings the same way in the tutorial and when I go to paint the top of the building after offsetting it by pushing the top of the building back a little the clone brush doesn't paint anything at all. Very frustrating
