My personal opinion is that what set off the run was the disclosure of the PIPE and the substantial discount to the current market price. Make it look likd SVB was desperate and there was a sense of urgency.

Serious question though, do you think we could see Bank runs on BoA and Capital one? I'm currently holding a solid bit of both in my portfolio, and am wondering if I should bail out, or double down on a potential overreaction of the markets (Both are down about 10% last week)

Wouldn't matter if the did. Their investment portfolios are not concentrated and their customer base is not concentrated. They are diversified on both sides of their balance sheet and can meet their obligation. Bank of America als has access to its largest shareholders resources. That is Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway
