Epoxy resin opens up a huge world in the field of handicraft and creativity, because it can be used to create interior items, jewelry and decorative accessories for the home. Trays, cup holders, clocks, paintings and much more everyone can do! And it will be not just a unique work, but also a wonderful exclusive handmade gift for any holiday or anniversary.
To create any of these accessories, you will need a mold or artboard that will be filled with epoxy. One of them is a special silicone mold for filling.
A silicone mold (or silicone mold) is a special molded mold that can be used to make various volumetric shapes.
Silicone molds can be purchased ready-made, with which you can immediately start working.
Characteristics of silicone molds and molds:
1. Multiple use. Unlike artboards, acrylic panels and other canvases, molds can be used for batch production without losing the quality of the final work.
2. Elasticity. Even delicate parts can be easily removed from the mold without damage.
3. Profitability. With an inherently higher cost compared to disposable canvases, silicone molds will be a better purchase due to their reusability.
4. Softness of the material. This is a big plus when transporting and storing molds: they are not prone to chips or cracks when struck or dropped.
5. The ability to create transparent products.

Pouring epoxy into silicone molds to create watches, trays, campfires, and other accessories is easy. However, there are a few rules to follow to get the best results:
1. Choose a shape depending on the future idea of ​​the work: pay attention to the height of the walls, the softness of the edges and the condition of the surface. With a high fill, so that the edges of future work are even, the walls of the mold should not deform under the pressure of the resin, so choose a mold with either a sufficient edge thickness or solid silicone. Low edges are good for small fillings like bonfires. If the tray is only a few millimeters thick, it will likely break even under light loads.
2. Do not scratch the silicone mold during storage: any unevenness on the glossy surface of the mold will be transferred to your mold.
3. The silicone mold must be dry and clean. We recommend washing the product after finishing work, and not before it: in this case, the form will dry out well. Please note that a visually dry surface after exposure to water followed by drying with a towel or napkins does not guarantee complete evaporation of water from the silicone and may lead to a deterioration in gloss on future casting.
4. When working, place the mold on a flat surface, so you exclude the resin dripping to one edge of the product and deformation of the pattern.
5. Do not use sharp tools when stirring resin or colorant in a mold or mold - this may cause scratches on the mold.
Any Resin Art painting starts with choosing an epoxy artboard. To date, a fairly large number of blanks for drawing (Art Board) from various materials, shapes and coatings are presented on the market.
The most common are:
- MDF artboards for epoxy resin;
- HDF artboards for epoxy resin;
- chipboard artboards for epoxy resin;
- plywood artboards for epoxy resin.

Добрый день, Эльмира! Весь материал это молды для эпоксидной смолы, формы для выпечки среди них нет. Можно было бы так подумать на первую, но нет, эпоксидная смола в нее заливается со стороны донышка.))

Подскажите пожалуйста , нужно ли смазывать чем нибудь молд, перед заливкой смолой для хорошего разделения молда с изделием?

Есть специальное средство, но я редко вижу, что б мастера им пользовались.

@@AcrylicFluidPouring Я думаю можно попробывать спрей разделитель для изготовления молдов. Распылять его на кобашоны, а только потом кобашоны утапливать в силикон, может тогда и самодельные силиконы не будут прилипать к форме.

Здравствуйте. Не могу найти силикон что добавляется в краски, что я только пробовал и wd-40 и спирт даже жидкое мыло, а такого эффекта как силикон я не достиг. (((Где его взять подскажите пожалуйста.
