Melt and Pour Soap Using Silicone Stamps
I make a lot of cards for all occasions. I thought I could use and embossing folder for soap making a mold out of embossed
material. This did not work, and I did not was to cut up a folder as it would destroy it. I wondered if the silicone stamps
that I use would work and would it ruin the stamp. It did work and did not harm the stamp at all. You just need to make sure
that you wash the stamp and get any soap out of it.

Update. I sucessfully had a go at a red and white bar using Christmas stamps and once I got the pouring temp and scraping right it turned out well. The stamp imprints are really effective. Thank you for sharing the info. I'll give your page a credit with an attached link when I upload my soap photos.

OH, I can imagine, there are always trials and errors but the one with the tree looked amazing. I only use MP now for embeds as i make cold and hot process now but I started out with MP and you are taking this to another level.

Great idea, and the soaps looks great. I am a card maker, and I actually wondered if you could stamp soaps with silicone, or rubber, stamps. I don't currantly make soap though, although it looks interesting, so I was thinking about trying it. I am wondering if you could do this with cold processed soap? Oh, and I forgot to say, using glitter is completely fine, as long as it's biodegradable glitter.

That is amazingly brilliant and so so pretty! Thanks for sharing! I do have a question ... how do you get your soap melted so pretty with all the sides of the container nice and clean? Mine usually ends up a big mess and starts getting a skin and thickening faster than I like, etc ... plus, what base do you use that you can get it as high as 160 without burning it? Any help would be appreciated. :-) Maybe you can do a video on it? ;-)

Hello, I use Crafters Choice for my bases. If you get a bit of skin, try to stir it out. Don't overfill mold. That is where I tend to get into trouble. Hope all of this helps. 🌺

What temp did you pour the white base in this project? I have tried my first attempt but the white base solidified and clumped very quickly as soon as I poured and as I worked with the spatular.

For the white base, you do not want a skin, I would pour at about 130's, but this is very dependent on the brand you are using. You want to pour before a skin as you need to make sure it is all off the stamp after you use a spatula. Hope this helps. 🌻
