I don't know if it's just me but I haven't seen a water based vs silicone based foundation video before, and I'm VERY grateful to whatever alghorithm brought this to me! seeing the groups separated in to the 2 categories made me realize smth: contrary to the popular belief that oily/acne/sensitive skin should use water based products, I see that the foundations you grouped under silicone based are the foundations that DIDN'T break me out! and the water based ones (only except for one) broke me out MASSIVELY! which helps me so, so very much with my troubling skin type! I must be reacting to smth else they use in watery formulations. thank you so much for making this video, beautiful! ❤❤❤

If I use a water-based moisturizer, should I be using a water-based: under eye concealer, primer, and foundation? That’s what I was told so the makeup doesn’t separate or look patchy when applied. I have been using water based moisturizer; silicone based primer; silicone based foundation, water based concealer. A Sephora specialist said it doesn't matter too much, but she suggested skipping the primer. But if my moisturizer is water based and my foundation is silicone based do they need to be the same base????

@amandaavery2702 hey love sometimes is a trial and error so try skipping the primer and just put the moisturizer and foundation do a wear test and try something different another day then yout can see what works best for you x

It’s probably a hybrid Water/glycerin=water based Isododecane=oil based -icone/-loxane=silicone based
