This video is very short but i can imagine the toughness behind all the process, doing this as a women from Russia is just incredible! Actually if you're not in a path like hers such as raising funds, but just looking for starting an online business in the US it's way simpler and cheaper especially today.

It is great time to start AI-powered company! Regarding incorporation, it is not always good strategy to wait for investors. Not all investors are so patient to wait 2-6 months while you are sorting out incorporation issues. Moreover, you need a company to frame relationships with co-founders and clients. Standard market practice is to create a group of companies in different jurisdictions if you operate across different countries.

When I considered different countries for my company, what stopped me was having to go overseas to open a bank account in the US. Opening a US company is a piece of cake; accounting is monstrous. And visas and all that headache. So I ended up opening Estonian company instead. But yeah, if you plan to get investments from US investors, then you have like no choice. :)

You having a business do not make you eligible for green card or anything, however if your business is big like hers, you can see the options that the visa to get and maybe be qualified for the green card in the future.

Stripe in general is good, but Atlas.. It really depends of what you doing.. I've done all by myself back at the start.. all in NY.. If you not exactly an IT startup, you can be in NY, Illinois.. and the main thing that you qualify as a small business! C-corp is NOT a small business by any means! You have to realize that from the start.. 🤯

Watching this in 2024 I would not say it this way 😃 In retrospect I am asking: it might not have been just a random coincidence that exaclty this bank failed ? At that time it was, I guess, the only bank that could lure in that many non-citizens startups. They were naive, helpless, and above all desperate just to be able to open any bank account at all, they all weren't in a position to choose another bank. This is a disgrace for the legislature and the government institutions that this is necessary, I mean, that you can't do this in a 'normal' bank.
