So many molds for beautiful glass can be created with SilkeMat. This video shows some of the things we have created, and hopefully will inspire you to create your own.

I’m going to make a SilkMat mold for a 8x9” rectangle. I’m doing a drip out vase so the glass is 15mm. Can I cut out the hole beforehand so I’m not using as much ridgidizer? How wide should the edges be to hold the glass while it drops. Thank you!

Yes. And I suggest prefiring the SilkeMat so it shrinks and stiffens. Then rigidize.

do you have to cut the mold off the jellyfish?

Unless the feet barely touch the shelf, you will need to cut the SilkeMat off the legs.
