Indeed. Two things our middle classes seem to think warrants treating him as an enemy of the state, to be taken out by any means necessary. Nothing off the table including lying, bending the law and incarceration on trumped up charges, in the prisons not only with the most Muslims, but the jihadis who are in prison for trying to kill him. The movie they banned and they want to jail him for reveals the corruption of the entire British establishment. No wonder they threatened him with 2 years for showing it and seem to be using the media, police, judiciary and prison system as a way to character assassinate and perhaps even assassinate. The fact the establishment has branded him a far right racist, knuckle dragging oik who is guilty of running a kind of anti Muslim English KKK is so easily debunked for anyone who actually listened to the man instead of the sneering of the chattering class

He's calling for facial recognition cameras-where will these be installed, at what cost and are they legal? He's called for restrictions on movement-how will this be implemented, on what evidential basis and will this be a new, UK wide law? He's called for a "standing army" (a strange term since we already have one) of a police force, of 6,000 officers. How will this be formed, from existing numbers already stretched, or a new separate force? It sounds like a dedicated, specialist body, will it be under independent command, is this an England & Wales equivalent of the French CRS riot police? Will it be deployable in the rest of the UK too? When will the rest of those who are generally at the forefront of resisting Tory attempts at more robust law and order measures, be raising their voices and questioning what seems to be a very authoritarian streak in our new Prime Minister? So everyone in the street is unknowingly going through a series of checkpoints. How very East Germany. When I go back to the UK now, the first thing that hits me is the authoritarianism everywhere. Signs everywhere telling you what you're not allowed to do and how you'll be punished if you step out out of line. I'm completely done wish the place. It's not like that in Europe. The British public are mostly to blame for it too, they did nothing when the surveillance cameras went up. Now they have the hell they wished for.

An important error in Silkie's assessment. She says that 74% of AI scans are false alerts and that makes them inaccurate. This is not true or is misleading. Imagine a flow of one million people at a busy train station results in 40 matches. 30 of them are false. This is a 75% false match rate that allows the police to manually check only 40 faces. 1 in 4 will be correct. A few minutes work. To my mind, this comment from her undermines the intellectual foundation she uses for the rest of her interview. Even though I agree with many of her conclusions.

A 60-year-old Brazilian guy is going to England for the first time. He never even dreamed of committing a crime there. When he leaves the airport in London, he gets into a self-driving taxi and tells it where he wants to go. The vehicle's camera captures his image, and the company's facial recognition AI system, which uses the same technology as the police and has access to the Metropolitan Police database, identifies him as a dangerous criminal with the profile of a cold-blooded murderer who has already been convicted and is on the run. The system sends a warning to the police, the taxi closes its door and instead of taking the passenger to his destination, it drops him off at the door of the nearest Police Station, where armed officers are waiting for him. When he gets out of the vehicle, frightened, the officer shouts something he doesn't understand. The guy reaches into his jacket pocket to get his passport, and a nervous officer puts two bullets in his chest. The police action is considered exemplary. But the taxi company complains in the press: the Metropolitan Police should pay an extra fee for their assistance. Debates in Parliament... This was supposed to be a fictional dystopian short story, but it turned out to be a trivial possibility now. Better not travel to England.

The Manchester Arena bombing in May 2017 occurred outside of an Ariana Grande concert. The perpetrators were two brothers, aged 20 and 22, whose parents were Libyan refugees. They were Islamist terrorists, and claimed to be motivated by the deaths of Moslem children in the Syrian Civil War. A little more than seven years later, this massacre of school girls in another town in northern England who were attending a Taylor Swift dance class will look very similar to many people. It too occurs in the wake of concern about the killing of Moslem children, this time in Gaza. So it seems strange that Flo would assert that the perpetrator is not a Moslem with absolute certainty, when this would seem to be a subject of conjecture. His parents were Rwandan immigrants or refugees, I’m not sure which, and we have been told that they were church-goers, but not which church they went to. By the way, about 5% of Rwanda’s population is Moslem; they are not all Christian. The perpetrator may have been in contact with people who might have converted him to Islam even within the Rwandan diaspora. This would seem to have been an action quite out of keeping with his previous behaviour. Why might it not have been the byproduct of a religious conversion? If any journalists have gathered information that would support this having happened the publication ban would not allow them to publish it, and regrettably, this will continue to be the case for up to a year or more. Flo is too woke by half. She should have just said that there is no public evidence now that the perpetrator was an Islamist terrorist and he had a Christian upbringing and left it that.

It might have escaped your attention, BUT the latest raft of Tory legislation which was fully backed by the Labour 'opposition' and all passed in the last government before Sunak called the election actually made the breaking of the law by the police and security services something for which these services were given complete immunity from prosecution. So basically, they can do anything they like, whenever they like, to whomsoever they like, wherever they like (including outside the country) for whatever reason they like without any fear of reprisal.
