The old Silkroad was just great: Simple controls, smooth graphics, great animations and simple maths. Unfortunately killed by time. There were just a few games in past that made you addicted like Silkroad. Just watching these graphics making me sick. The skill feedback and reactions are just crap!

Omer Amin There are 3 official versions. The first and oldest one is www.silkroadonline.net. The next one was launched in 2012 and is called Silkroad-R. The website is: www.silkroad-r.joymax.com. The video above shows off what is officially called Legend of Silkroad, but it is in fact Silkroad Online 2. So yeah... they are 3 DIFFERENT games, but Silkroad Online and Silkroad-R are both run by Joymax, whereas Silkroad Online 2 (Legend of Silkroad) is ran by JCPlanet. If I were you, I would play the Silkroad-R servers as those are the most active ones.

What they have in common is that they built on the same idea of the "Silk road". You can still be a trader or a thief, and the basic overall ideas are the same. That being said, it IS a very different game, which I suppose some are glad about, whilst others are angry about.

It is better than Silkroad 1. However, the cap will most likely increase in the future, so it's really hard to tell how the time-to-cap will change in the future.

The unique monsters are more "stationary" in Silkroad 2. You can see their spawnpoint on the map, and then it is simply all about getting there first. They might add random unique spawnpoints in the future, though, who knows :)

I would have loved a new silkroad online experience but from what i read here this game was shut down.. I loved the old one played it since 2007, "the golden age" but ppl started botting and the game died, first came the gold bots then came the s bots and society died... i left the game with a lv 96 glavier took me for ever only quests never boted and if ppl joined in a party to lv up they wouldn t need that. My question is... Why isn t the bot thing over? Are they afraid if the game dies or something?

It is not really original SRO it looks like metin or something different shit. Old SRO was the best online game i have ever played. In these days your game starts at maximum level and u cant achieve this without bot and everybody are equal during a game. In old silkroad everything started in level 20 with caravans, capture the flag, events and so on. its not problem to get sun set until 7 degree for free now. Useless, definitely!

I was on my laptop when I captured this, but even on a strong desktop, the game still runs slow. So basically, their issue is that the game isn't optimized at all - an issue that Silkroad 1 had in the beginning as well. It'll probably get better soon :)

This game looks like garbage why even bother to make it... Oh wait I know why, to steal stupid gamers money who want to play "silkroad 2" for a nostalgic feeling which they won't get because this game looks like poop sro was good for its time this is not. If you want a game that's similar to sro but more up to date with game mechanics and graphics I would suggest Tera rising. Sro was fun because of the triangular conflict between the job system . If they make a new sro they should keep that, add better movement like wasd rather then clicking around, update the graphics add more classes and add arenas. Bam you have sro 2.0. This looks like shit though don't play it.

I honestly think this game is doing all right. It is still in beta, and JCPlanet should not forget to keep updating the game. The first thing they should look into in my opinion is optimizing the smoothness of attacks. Right now, it's kinda clumsy. That being said, it is still just a beta, and it shall be interesting to follow the development of the game :)
