My first Silky Saw was the F-180, when the Outback Series was released I waited until it had gotten some time in service before I watched reviews. It was whilst watching a Survival Russia review of a Silky Katana Boy, a 500mm saw (if memory serves me right) that I noticed just how much easier, faster and less tiring it was using the larger saw! Whilst the 500mm blade was wholly unsuitable for my needs, the Bigboy Outback would be about perfect. Upon its arrival I was so impressed that I immediately ordered a Gomboy Outback, as the Bigboy and Gomboy Outback saws and my F-180 gave me the perfect saw for different trip, depending on my envisaged wood requirements. With a Silky Bigboy Outback Saw, a Gransfors Bruks Wildlife Hatchet (or GB Small Forest Axe) a Mora Companion Heavy Duty knife and a Cold Steel Special Forces Shovel, there isn't much that can't be achieved or constructed outdoors.

You're the only person I've seen test it out on bone. That was really cool.

I was all excited to try this thing out the other day and reached up to grab a wood chunk caught in the teeth but ended up smacking my thumb right into the saw, and damn is that thing sharp. It looks like I got slashed with a razor 6 times. Lol. Chewed through the birch tree that I cut up with ease.

Anti reflection is not meant for daytime, it is for night, same as the military equipment.

@@OdinswolfSurvival I bet it would, some in our area here are old, old, and very hard, im only a few miles from BFE and you can go to areas where all you see is fence post and pasture, not as bad as western Kansas where it's rolling hills, but yeah you can still get lost.

Great saw, but the screw used for the pivot axle comes loose and stays loose eventually and the saw blade will fold back on itself. Suggest you Locktite that nut for safety's sake.

Haven't had that issue yet but I'll keep an eye on it

If you don't close it all the way back does it rattle a bit? Has some movement left to right when in closed position? Just got mine and asking to see if it's normal
