I think ceramic is more gentle on the hair because of the ions in it where as titanium doesn’t have the same ions.

I am relaxed and I do not apply direct heat at all. I roller set and sit under the heated dryer twice a month and that is it. I feel with the twice a year relaxer the less heat the better and my hair is doing well.
