Serums and Smoothing agents are better for thick hair, and tackier products are better for thin hair!

Great video! with my wavy fine hair I’ve come to find that the less I put in my hair the better for pre styling. So smoothing syrums are fuckin great for me. 25 leave in spray is damn good, and super skinny works as well. And I’ll do the John Mario John side swept fringe; and in order to do so I gotta have my hair looking smooth and sleek! Love the tutorial videos!

For prestylers what do you usually use? 25 spray or the soothing serum? I noticed you used the soothing serum in this video, but what works better for you as well?

I actually like using both tbh! I’ve been using the serum more lately though to test it out and get a good feel for it.

As always what a great video! I love your work men! I have one question though, is it ok to use serums and pre styler? For example that serum and the pre styler 25??
@LongNguyen-jy7gc6 жыл бұрын
My Asian hair (grows left to right) is incredibly heavy and will generally fall over despite any blow drying techniques unless I use hairspray. I have kind of a cowlick on the right front that makes it more able to stand up, but the left side will usually fall flatter and makes the whole quiff (similar to your style) look tilted and awful. I want to comb it the other way because the right side will stay up and not smush but it kind of spikes and doesn't want to go left (kinda like how your left side pops out but more unmanageable). Do you think the round brush tension would work to fix this? Great tutorial as always 🔥
@TDMStyle6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Hmm, I think the round brush could help a bit. I find it easier to apply more tension and really kind of force the hair to shape how I want.

If i heat style everyday wouldnt the heat damage my hair though even if i dont hold the hairdryer there for like 5 mins
@TDMStyle5 жыл бұрын
As long as you’re using the heat properly, no, you have nothing to worry about. The cases where heat damage actually occurs are usually people using heated tools like curling irons/straight irons etc and they crank them up to 450 degrees and hold them in place for too long.

I have a really important question. How do you maintain a blowout for at least 3 days? I mean I don't want to blowout every single day. I have seen a lot of these videos on how to preserve a blowout for women but none for men. I wish you could make one or tell me if its possible to do it
@TDMStyle5 жыл бұрын
Hey there! It’s definitely possible - basically it just depends on what products you use. I would suggest using something more matte and light, that way as the days go by it will have less of a chance to become heavy or overly greasy. Also dry shampoo on the off days definitely helps to soak up excess oil and bring your hair back to life.

Bro can you recommend me any hair serum that can feel more volume to hair
@TDMStyle3 жыл бұрын
Serums are not meant for volume, they’re meant for smoothing and detangling. If you want to build volume you can layer a serum with something like a sea salt or texture spray, mousse, etc.

Hey bro i style my hair about once or twice a weak and my 20 hair dryer just went out😭😭, i was thinking about the dyson dryer but it's 400 dollars on Amazon 😱😱😱😱 is the dyson dryer worth it or should I spend 100 /150 for a dryer?
@TDMStyle5 жыл бұрын
Honestly the Dyson has changed my life. It’s so worth it. You can get refurbished ones for around 200-250, the only real difference is on refurbs the warranty is 6 months. Brand new warranty is 2 years.

What do I tell my hair stylist to get the color like that, not that exact color but the way your colored hair looks feels more natural, so what should I tell my stylist, obviously I'll show him your picture but the way that color looks is very natural and that's what I want
@TDMStyle5 жыл бұрын
We did it like a shadow root, so instead of bleaching all the way to the scalp my stylist did painted highlights almost like a balayage. Then she applied the color over that. This color in particular is Guy Tang’s Crimson Spell!

I still never learned WTF even is Any% dry, whenever I hear a percentage to how dry my hair needs to be I can't to put that into perspective at all, especially cause my hair can dry under a blowdryer in less than a minute on medium heat.
@TDMStyle6 жыл бұрын
The main thing is you want it to be almost completely dry before adding the brush into the mix. So if it feels to the touch like all or almost all of the moisture is gone, you’re good.
