I made myself a diy pomade from bees wax, coconut oil and some olive oil and it works wonders for my thick, wavy, unruly, dry hair. It gives me silky smooth, natural shine hair. In case you're wondering I used 18g of beeswax, 18g of coconut oil and about 15g of olive oil. Then I melted all of this together in a double boiler and poured that into a jar. Then I let it air dry for about 10 minutes until it hardens up. You can adjust the ratio to your own liking for example more beeswax = stronger hold, more coconut oil = more shine. There are other ingredience you can use as well just search up "diy pomade" on KZbin to find some inspiration.

I often found that using some kind of low shine pomade gives me much more texture than clay ‘cause my hair is thick and curly ,the pomade(fifth sample) smooth my hair out a lot and add little bit of healthy shine where as clay (any clay) usually make my hair puffy because the dryness and swelling affect.
