Nita and Shenae show you how to use the Sugowaza

This week Jannita and Shenae talk about the Silky Sugowaza.
Sugowaza: www.arborlab.c...
The Sugowaza is a modified Sugoi with a cross-guard designed for working in slippery conditions, to prevent the hand slipping on the blade. The cross guard is also designed to protect gloves from accidental cuts. Great for those who work around power lines or with power lines.
The Sugowaza 420mm has a super smooth tooth pattern that cuts super fast. This makes it ideal for pruning large limbs.
The Sugowaza offers a genuine alternative to using a small chainsaw - a little more effort but more peaceful, no fuel cost and much more rewarding!
Arborlab Tree Care Pty Ltd is in the business of sourcing and supplying the worlds best tree care products. The Silky Saw and Okatsune range is just that - some of the worlds best pruning tools. Perfect for the arborist to perform tree cutting and tree pruning with ease. The Prabos range of boots adds the quality and safety that all arborists need. Once a week Jannita and Shenae share a video with tips and tricks about Silky Saws and the other incredible products we stock.
Are you looking for high qualities saws or axes that will make the job seem effortless? Look no further. Shenae and Jannita have a few awesome products to share.

Regarding sharpening, i DO NOT recommend a file. Even a fine tooth file is too course, much easier and faster to use a diamond grit sharpening that has a slim profile. Much smoother, and much easier to get a fine point on the teeth. Also, diamond actually can sharpen the hardened saw teeth as well, though depending on how deep the hardening goes, you may loose the hardening.

If you haven't you should do a video about the Katanaboy 650, and 1000! =D I've got the 650, its really a great saw! cuts through trees....like literal trees. Helped me a couple days ago do a -9c campout with a siberian log fire that lasted and kept me warm for about 10 hours! the 1000 just looks like a homesteaders dream saw!

@@SILKYsaw Good video! I've had the 650 for almost 2 years now. Even when I go out on a "day camp" and pack light, its really hard to leave it behind...I actually feel guilty, like somehow the saw is feeling left out...lol. j/k. But seriously, I use my saws so much more than any other tool I have.

@@HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy Thank you! They are incredible saws and it can be so hard to choose just one of the trip lol! But I am sure the Katanaboy would understand🤪

@@SILKYsaw lol. Got my Sugawaza today. I have to say i'll probably be searching for an alternate sheath. The zubat's is much much better. =) But this thing is a BEAST Of a cutter! Going to take it and my gomboy 300 out this weekend to work on my bushcraft base camp =)

Hello! Huge fan of silky! What max diameter log would you recommend me using this saw on?

Hi, you could cut up to about 32-5cms in my opinion. You are really only limited by the length of the blade. Due to the hook, you need a little space for the blade to move. 😊

@@SILKYsaw 😂 Yes, good point! Perhaps plundering celebrations with free-flowing rum, ale, wine, raucous humour & high spirits, combined with a store full of Silky saws and axes, may not be the best OH&S combination! 🤔😱🤣
