If the target is not jinking and the shooter is adept at pointing his aircraft in the desired direction (I see some struggles there), every potential gunshot opportunity is spoiled by excessive / mismanaged line-of-sight (LOS) rate, the angular rate at which the target is moving in relation to you. Remember the following when shooting down much slower flying objects like helicopters with guns (looking at jets here):
