Put some tapewound flat wound strings on it. I just bought one and that's the first thing I did to it. Paul McCartney doesn't use wound round strings.

Hello. Constructive only. Bass line is much more staccato that this Nick. Try not letting the notes ring by relaxing your fingers on the left hand after every note... ie. left hand muting of the note.The sound we're after isn't der-der-der-der-der-der-der......... it's bip-bip-bip-bip-bip-bip-bip.....
