To add to the story about the Texas man that only recieved 180 days in jail for secretly slipping abortion inducing drugs into his spouse's drinks, he tried SEVEN SEPERATE TIMES to abort the child his wife was carrying. The child did survive, albeit with developmental disabilities. The man, who is a Houston lawyer, is Mason Herring.

Did the baby have intellectual disabilities as well? Soft language language makes it terribly hard to understand the limitations. Another person is born with. It also keeps us from understanding the tragedy of what happened to that kid.

Surely this can’t have been written seriously? And there must be some other context that’s missing here? I’ve met some stupefyingly obtuse and sanctimoniously self serving Christians, and there are undoubtedly far too many people who think that their paid up club membership means they never have to think about the moral quality of their own actions, but I don’t think even I’ve met someone who could pull this off with a straight face. Maybe I just haven’t spent quite enough time in the heart of the Bible Belt, though…….

@@MrPendellI have, unfortunately, come across people like this. I've even had a couple of Mormons insisting I listen to their crap when my train home was 5 minutes out 3 minutes away. Fortunately they backed off when I threatened to make them suffer for the hour to my next train. I should mention it was -2, snowing and an open station

Penicillin was discovered by a Scot, the Jet turbine engine was invented by Frank Whittle and the programmable computer "Colossus" was invented by the Scientists at Bletchley Manor in the effort to break the Enigma codes used by the Nazis in WW2. So just like Cars and Railways, the most of the other major modern technologies aren't American either.

You get a bill for ASKING the Nurses to bring your PREMATURE child from its Incubator, at a time when the hospital has planned on the patients, INCLUDING THE INFANTS, sleeping. Or for asking for the "skin to skin" procedure to take place instantly after a C-section, because it complicates the procedure and requires an extra nurse to attend for the child's safety.

My Undergrad was Marine Biology. One of our first semester modules was the Ethics of Science. We HAD to pass it. If we did not we were off the degree programme. Simple as that. But I guess Elon Musk works by different rules if ethics somehow do not apply to him. Perhaps he should look up Unit 731. He might find it educational. A word of warning to any reading this who decide to look that unit up, do not do so on a full stomach or while eating. Its not pretty. In fact its downright horrific, makes any modern slasher horror movie look tame.

@@kelliepatrick519 I had measles. It was a right of passage. I don't know why people are so afraid. My kids had measles, even after being vaccinated. I keep hearing how so many died, but no one in extended family, neighborhood, schools, the hospital my mom worked at, ever did. Having the disease is a better immunity--it can stand on its own, without the herd. We should focus more on treatment for people like my kids who are vaccinated and still get it. They lost a week of school. It wasn't shorter, or easier than when I had it. I missed a week of school, too. I don't get where people get those figures.

@@jerometaperman7102 If the photo was taken from a magazine and not directly from the camera then there is a 100% chance it was shopped by either the photographer or the photo editor. Nothing gets printed in magazines without being retouched.
