Healing when the killer isn’t nearby is ALWAYS the best option, even if you're Arlo!
It can definitely be fun healing in front of the killer, but it can also get people targeted out of the game really quickly. Yes, even with an 8 second shield and speed boost. Depending on how well they can loop, if they have any stamina left, or if the killer has a short attack recovery, I would not actually recommend pulling the stunts featured in the video unless it’s necessary.
However, Arlo is most definitely NOT useless or overshadowed by the new basekit revive update. The reviver doesn't even get a shield if they aren't Arlo, and they don't have boosted revive speed either!
Unlike Dae-jung, it also isn't a priority for Arlo to run across the entire map over and over to have insanely cracked revive speed.
This makes him a really solid choice for players that are looking to be healers.

While i do admit using his perk saved my games/came in clutch sometimes, it is Most likely because his perk is kinda situational, plus, the new base kit shield update killed his main purpose, so whoever uses healer's touch becomes even more rare

Honestly, I was an Arlo main back in the Daybreak 1 days, purely because of his ability and was my first prestige survivor He's even the reason I have the 'play as yourself' gamepass (I bought the custom face thing, and when daybreak 2 came, I got the 'you' skin for free)

funny story: yesterday i played as Arlo (a lvl 2 cause i don't play him much) reved about 20 on someone then the killer came closer and then the guy starts freaking out like DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!! (5 seconds later and the killer hit me like 3 or 4 times and I'm still not downed) THAT SHIELD TIME IS CRAZY... SEVEN SECONDS! Also the guy that was downed was bamboozled, I think he was playing Arlo after that lol.

I am a true Arlo main I have played over 500 rounds as Arlo and I have to tell you something. His healing is amazing, but I just suck at looping. we love niche and situational perks in this household!! personally whenever I judge a character’s strengths I also like to look at their base stats, especially when their perk is situational. people _love_ playing yronica even though her perk is so hard to make use of because she has nice stats to make up for it I’d say the same goes for arlo because he’s nearly a genrusher, so slotting him into a team isn’t as bad of an idea even if he doesn’t do his job. he’s good to stay in the back of a party until it’s his time to shine I’d understand if not everyone likes this passive playstyle tho

Yall there's a new bug where you can hit players in fences as it's called wall hit kinda like vault hit so be careful if your going against idol slasher or ghost bc this killers have a high chance of hitting you through the wall
