I made a ghillie cape with a 2 metre by 1 metre camo pattern net. I used lots (hundreds literally lol) 1 foot lengths of both brown and dark green jute lengths which I threaded through the holes in the net (so there would be 6 inches hanging off when I tied them on) and then some tan coloured fake leaves sparsely spread out on it also. I just used some shoelaces to keep it together across my chest and to create sleeve cuffs at the top ends to fit my hands through to hide my arms. It took me over 3 weeks of 2 to 3 hours an evening after work to complete it. The headgear was a camo baseball cap with some more of the same net and twine and leaves attached to it and I used a camo wire mask to save my lower face and goggles for my eyes. It was cheap to do but took ages and some tweaking along the way but it works. I once had a games marshal nearly trip over me only that he saw my boots lol. Different sites require different patterns so it's good to have maybe a few different suits to be ready for more than one. Cheers for the video!!

Nice video. I was able to pick you out every time. If you think about it, rotting damp leaves are usually under dryer leaves. So those darker brown spots look like the leaves have been disturbed. I would probably place the darker color under the lighter colors and maybe ziptie a few small sticks to the suit.

Using electrical flush cutters will help prevent sharp spots that wil cut the skin at any time. They can be found on many sites. Micro Flush Cutters are going to flush cut flat with the knuckle of the tie.

I've got a question since i'm from germany and don't get hands on a KMCS. The enviroment on the fields i'm playing on are mostly like Phoenix Airsoft around march. So my plan is to go for the Novritsch ghilly, inking it with light brown (color like muddy water), working with the brown cotton leafs (around 70% to 80%), the green AGM mesh (around 20% to 30%) and some raffia. Will this fit in the enviroment or do you have some other advices/any tips? Greets from germany!

I am planning to do this changes to my leafsuit. I got 2 concerns before starting: wont the dark inc make my suit to dark, so that I become a dark ball on the field, that is easily spotted? is there a seaon, where the grey brown fits perfectly into the middle european forest?

Hi. There is no ink in the updated version. There is dark colours of AGM instead. The grey brown is specifically designed for European winter forests. See the end of the video for a field test. Thank you for the interest!

If I understand you correctly, the agm shall be used for the darker colors, but the brown ink is still good to make the brown kmcs fit better in the european forest overall?

@@silly_ghillie will do. I think this is the first airsoft ghillie video that mentions the macro pattern (imo this is more important than the micro pattern). I thought doing about 1/3 of the suit in green and 2/3 in light and dark browns. I hope the result is a suit that does well all year, when modified with natural veg while playing and maybe slight changes in the green/brown amount.
