(woopsie sometimes when I say suho i mean sehun and sometimes i say channie but i mean chen and vice versa.. i blurt out the wrong name but YES i meant CHEN is the dinosaur loool my bad- but i dont mean to mix up the actual person- its just the names bc the s- and ch LOL) ANYWAY- Hallooooooooooo! Just letting you know I didn't intentionally skip other albums, I'm gonna get to those too but after testing out a few songs with her (to decide her music style & whatnot) I decided that this album would be good for her first EXO 'First Listen'. I kind of just guessed this would fit her preference since I haven't heard it yet either (based on songs she heard from EXOcise series & she liked ooh La La La) & I also got suggestions from Christy bc she listened to this album the other day and convinced me that Roseae would like it too. :) ALSO- we only had TONIGHT to record this video and one extra video for tomorrow, since we're going out of town tomorrow morning. So I can't take any extra video requests with her. We're going to be away!

If you ever watch the two episodes EXO appears on Knowing Brothers, *please record your reaction* !!! Those episodes are iconic with their level of hilariousness!~~~ Though, *THE VERSIONS ON NETFLIX HAVE BEEN EDITED* (certain members singing is cut, the music when Jongin dances isn't the song he danced to & doesn't match his movements, etc), but there are uploads subtitled very well by fans!!!^.^

Thank you for reacting to this album. It's such a gem and I love how all the members get to showcase their voices more. Do you know that Chen's involved in arranging the back vocals in some songs here? Also Chanyeol wrote With You, Chanyeol Chen and Baekhyun wrote Tempo and Chen and Chanyeol wrote Love Shot. Chen, Chanyeol, and of course Lay are the promising song-writers from EXO. I also love Baekhyun's tone so much (his and Kyungsoo's voices were what drew me into listening more to EXO songs). But my fave tone in EXO is Suho's (so pretty, clear and princely, backed up with good vocal technique) but of course my favorite EXO vocalist is Chen 😂. He always knows what he's doing with his voice??? Like everything coming out of his mouth sounds so good and even every accent he decorates his singing with (like the subtle thing you always point out he does at the end of his lines) is under control and just comes off natural. Honestly all vocal line (ChenBaekSuDo) I think have come to a point where people just would know what kind of songs each would especially excel at. I notice SM vocal arrangers always utilize Baekhyun's voice to sing things that appear epic (because his voice and adlibs sound so FULL if you know what I mean) for example in this album, his epic sounding adlibs by the end of Oasis. I'm obsessed with it I keep replaying it whenever I listen to the song. Kyungsoo tends to sing way more in chill or R&B songs that need a lot of vocal riffs and runs (he's the most agile vocalist in EXO, if not in the whole K-Pop lol) and he makes song parts sound so tasteful. Aside from that, his tone sounds expensive (if you can even call it that lol). For example, his parts in Tempo and Ooh Lalala. Chen on the other hand, shines the most in strong ballads and more experimental tracks because he has that unique boyish and a little bit shrill-y sound with super good control over his voice. In this album you can spot Chen's long ass solo adlibs by the end of Bad Dream, which is the most experimental sound in this album aside from Tempo. His ending in Smile On My Face also gives me life. Even if some people don't dig his tone, almost nobody can say bad things about his overall techniques and how he's really an important element in EXO songs. Sorry I got excited. I just love it whenever I found people that appreciate their vocals the way I do. I hope you and your sister check out their winter albums because they're all ballad and vocal heavens (esp Universe album, it is AMAZING). I also recommend The War because it's imo EXO's best album to date but I don't know if you'd be into it as you are into this one. The War is full of super well put together experimental tracks. You also might like EXACT because... R&B!!! Anyway, some of this lyrics video you reacted to have quite a lot of mistakes regarding the members' singing parts. But I guess you also noticed since you can probably differentiate at least 6 members' voices I guess. Thanks for reacting and enjoying EXO. They really are the go-to group when it comes to vocals in this generation of K-Pop.

Vocal line had longer parts than the rest before, but now they're all singing and even the rapping parts have more lines ( _Sehun_ has more lines~💖) Also, did you know they recorded 'Wait' in only 40 minutes in just ONE take? (Baek said so in an IG live) _That's_ how _good_ EXO's vocals are! EDIT 1: YES! It's Knowing Brothers! There are 2 episodes - the first one from Kokobop era and the second one for Tempo! On Netflix, the show is called "Men On a Mission", just look them up by year (2017 and 2018) they're reeeaaally funny! Also, you should watch EXO Arcade (the one Christy watched), it's on their V live channel (so you can watch it anytime) and there are tons of other variety shows they're in! They wanted to give smth to exols close to our hearts that mostly exo and exols have shared over the years. I highly recommend Universe album! Been watching almost all your exo reactions. So glad you and your sisters really like EXO. They seriously deserves more recognition for everything they have done. They kept me going for all these years ever since I got to know them from Overdose era. I love all of them, bias a little more towards Chanyeol, Sehun, Baekhyun and Kyungsoo. the best sister chemistry i have seen in a long time. you three are so adorable the way you get genuinely excited. i miss christy. EXO does all genres, is especially skilled at RnB. you gotta pay close attention to the backing vocals too, they do crazy runs, riffs, ad libs, harmonies, unexpected drops and unprecedented beat switches. in a way EXO's ballads are more acclaimed even than their main title songs. she likes ballads and acoustic music? If your sister really liked Wait, then she'll absolutely love EXO's winter albums since most of the songs there are ballads. Universe mini album is definitely a listen! In EXODUS too, they have some really good ballads and they also did an acoustic medley of some of their songs in concert. For Oasis, the lyrics says it's actually set after El Dorado. El Dorado is this big epic adventure song about them searching for the Lost City of Gold and desiring the riches within (getting to the top). But in Oasis, they have found the city but when they get there, they realize there's more to the adventure than finding the city, there's more to being at the top, so they keep chasing the sun to find more adventures because there's just not one goal to reach, it's not just El Dorado, it's more than that. So it's not just being at the top, it's about continuing to work hard and finding other avenues to challenge because being at the top doesn't mean it's the end of the road for them. For me, Wait, Smile on my Face and Oasis are my favorite from this album. I'm glad you both liked those too!

funfact: every song in Don't mess up my Tempo' is assigned to a member that's why they're always referencing their superpowers at some point. For example Sign is assigned to Chanyeol and the lyrics go "I might set off a firework" since his power is fire. Oh la la la is Kai's song, Gravity is for D.O, With you is Baekhyun's, 24/7 is Xiumin's, Bad Dream is Sehun's, Damage is Chen's, Smile on my Face is Lay's and Oasis is Suho's. Every song has the respective member's ability incorporated in its lyrics and in my opinion that even adds more to the awesomeness of this album!

Okay so about Lay , in this album lay appeared in tempo only and got a few (emphasis on few) parts in the Chinese version of tempo . Other than that he didn't get a part in any of the songs since he was doing his solo things and as far as him being in the pictures of the lyric videos is because the ot9 heart of the maker wanted to add lay in there cuz we didn't get to see him in the comeback much 😭 and we miss him so much 😭

I have so much to say... This video was long but it had so many good parts, I loved auntie Rose reactions and her overall, she's lovely. I honestly wanted to make a timestamp list with all the funny moments but it's way too much and I'm watching from my phone so I can't really write a comment and watch at the same time so... Yeah. Reasons why we see EXO as animals (kind of long): -Chen: dinosaur/cat = he screams like a dino, his cheek bones, he wore the dinosaur costume in EXO's concert/Chen's mouth shaped like a cat (always look like he is smiling). -D.O.: penguin = his head's shape like an egg which reflex the penguin's head, he wore the penguin costume, he has the penguin-like dance, he loves black than 90 percent of his closet is in dark. -Baekhyun: puppy = he has short legs, energetic, and pretty big/round butt that reminds fans of Mongryong - his corgi (a dog breed that known for it short-leg, cute size and big round butt) or the beagle (a dog breed that known for being too energetic/extra). He is a part of EXO's "Beagle Line". Baekhyun is also called flying squirrel because he wore the costume in their concert. -Chanyeol: Bigger puppy/white tigger/phoenix/ox = he is part of the "Beagle Line"/he wore the tiger costume/his power is fire which represented by a phoenix/some fans called him ox because of his muscles, especially arms. -Suho: bunny (the bunny prince) = he has the supper smooth, white bright, pretty skin and always goes easy (kind and almost meek) on the members. He wore the white bunny costume in their concert. -Sehun: chick/baby wolf = just because he is the youngest among the member, has a lot of aegyo (cute act), used to wear the yellow chick costume on Happy Camp / he wore the gray wolf costume in the concert which was expected to be cool and stuff (which fit with his cold-handsome face) but he was so gentle and smile like a baby when he wore the costume so fans like to draw wolf-Sehun with a bottle of milk (like infant/baby). -Kai: bear (brown) = it all started from when Kai said that he loves bear so much, he even organized a drawing contest where EXO-Ls send their bear drawing to him (he's the one who graded them). Also, Kai is known for his darker tone of skin compared to other members, and, like a bear, Kai loves to sleep (you know when the bear can sleep for the whole winter), he can sleep anywhere, anytime. -Lay: sheep = his chinese zodiac is a goat/sheep, he can easily get lost (his face expression is kind of 'sleepy' like a sheep when he cannot focus or do not understand something), he has a solo song called Sheep, and wore the sheep costume in their concert. -Xiumin: cat (black or dark grey)/hamster = he is the only member that has a cat (named Tan), he wore cat costume, his personality reminds fans of an 'arrogant' and noble-like cat. Xiumin has cat eyes/fans called him hamster because he used to be chubby and cute like a hamster (the bun cheeks).
