Can we create proper 'category' (not page category) and add the main parent post into it and further add child posts and interlink them together. Right now I am confused with the post and page concept. Can I create Post and not a page and add sub posts to it as child post.

Create WordPress categories as you normally do and assign the categories to all of your posts/pages. Create whatever you like page or post for your Parent page. From SEO point of view, there is no difference between two. The only thing that we need to do is, create child pages and a parent page and internal link all of them together. That’s it! Hope it helps. 🙂

It was a very informative video on Silo structure and it was awesome that you showed the example with ur own blog. I had started to implement it and wanted to as you a few questions: 1. When I have more number of categories, how will I add it to the main navigation? It will spoil my blogs looks...I am talking about 100+ silos... 2. For example: Mine is an education blog and my target keyword is "BSc nursing colleges in Delhi"..........I made a main silo domain.com/colleges/ and made it as main silo or category....and made a sub silo - domain.com/colleges/bsc-nusring/ and location wise my url will be domain.com/colleges/bsc-nursing/delhi/ In this case my target is to rank "BSc nursing colleges in Delhi". I made the main silo as colleges cos in future I want to rank for all colleges in India and all bsc nursing colleges in India. Awaiting your reply...and again thanks for the video...it was awesome...I am member of your group...YOu are doing a great job!!

Hey bro, there are few things you should understand: 1. You don't need to add all the SILOs or categories in your navigation bar and if you do, you can make use of drop down menus. Have a look at my navigation bar. 2. The purpose of main silos pages is not to rank them, but to pass link juice to the child pages that you truly want to rank. But still if you want to rank your parent pages make sure you target a keyword for them like "BSC nursing Colleges in India" and then from there, link to your city specific pages. Addition tip: If you still struggle to manage all of your silos, make a dedicated sitemap page. This way, your readers would find the exact information almost instantly and your indexing speed will also increase. Have a look at my sitemap page here: masterblogging.com/sitemap/ Hope it helps! 🙂
