When I called Tim I told him I'd buy some ASE off of him, even if they're expensive but I didn't care because I was just happy to buy something from him since he answered the phone. He said no, premiums are too high and Eagles are going up tomorrow. He told me to buy Maple's. It's not like he didn't have them, he just knew it wasn't the best deal for me. There is plenty of paper silver to buy. The paper to physical silver ratio is now 370.91 to 1 and going up daily. Gold has stayed at 110 to 1. The more physical silver that is taken off the market the more paper ounces of silver they add to counter higher spot prices. When will it stop 500 paper ounces 1,000? I will keep buying physical silver till the last ounce is gone.

The short is happening all over the country. I went to my coin dealer today. He had no gold and what silver he had had high premium. He said he got cleaned out Friday.

After 2 years of delays, I now think one of the reasons premiums are so high around the world is to discourage physical buyers. Mints face supply problems, but use these as an excuse (in conjecture with big financial instructions who short PMs) to increase delivery delays and jack up premiums. The resulting price gap alleviates buying pressure that small investors may impose on big institutions. JMHO.

Poland is one of the largest silver producers in the world. Mining is going smoothly, apparently something went wrong at the distribution stage. In Europe, gold is available, but very expensive. You have to wait several weeks for silver from mints (dealers do not keep up with the execution of orders).

My LCS has a fine eyed amount of silver right now. I'm definitely seeing a uptrend in people stacking more, or more people stacking...so his silver is starting to disappear. He hasn't had to buy in since the prices have shot up. Fortunately for me most have been focused on buying up his bars, so I've been snagging up all the constitutional I can while it's running at $21.40-$22.00 face.

Those premiums these days are ridiculous. Hence the reason why I love Foreign Silver. The last coin show a few weeks ago, I absolutely loaded up on foreign silver "at melt". And it was quality coins, most of which were XF-UNC (crown types, etc) ..., and not trash coins (holed or slicks). It seems around here anyway..., most collectors only want US coins.., and are basically giving away any foreign 😉🇺🇲

With the cost of fuel going up at the rate it is, this will no doubt drive the cost of mining up for gold and silver. With the spot pricing going down, at what point do the miners stop mining? That should in turn create a shortage and drive the prices back up, but there is already a shortage and prices are going down. How is that? Outside price manipulation or is there another reason?

Have not had any problems getting orders through my LCD. Have put in 4 orders over 3 weeks each order low six-figures. 50/50 Maples and Buffalo. I always make sure my buffalos have a shade tree. I call ahead he tells me if he can get it and then we lock in the spot. Order comes in within 4 days. That's Maples and Buffalos. I've never bothered to ask him who he gets it through. Good luck to everybody.. It looks like "The Big Guy" thinks the toilet needs to be flushed.. ( he told me it's okay to call him that we get along really good )

I wish supply would at least normalize - I like silver eagles and would still buy with "normal" premiums - but I'm not buying at these premiums...I sold eagles and quarters at these ridiculously high premiums and bought gold at spot - taking advantage of this unique situation that I have to sell and expand my PM stack. I'm even trying to buy gold filled where I can - any form of gold or silver is on the table...old gold wrist watches, pocket watches, jewelry - whatever since I can buy at spot given some long term relationships I have.... silver flatware - not recently...although I could get a lot if I wanted...and sometimes I'm tempted...but I've got some already and it takes up space - more space than my eagles, halves, etc...so storage is a real hassle. I think there are a lot of options out there, if you have the right sources and relationships.

inflation targets 2%, published at 5%, upgraded to 10%, real at 15-20%. I've now read so much I forget where I read what, but if I am recalling correctly, it was noted in a book from the 70's titled The INflation Crisis and How to Stop It- that monetary inflation targets never work- they(TPTB) always undershoot and keep the spigot open until they have massively overshot. Same book said PMs have "political" risk.
