the striling has to deal with ramping the kijn up and down from 1050 to 11something . i have had hit and miss with results. when i have figured it out with reproduible results i will share.

Yes, a friend of mine on Ig, Ambient glass hooked me up with a firing schedule for my caldera, he also included a striking ramp program in there and mostly I just try to strike in the flame, but knowing more about the chemistry and know how of kiln striking would be appreciated, you can find me on Ig @ Cymatix_One if you have any info you'd like to bounce off each other, thanks again friend, be well, hope to talk again soon!

The cold seals are something to watch as well, little to no heat in the piece and 90% of the heat on the punty side...

yes cold seals are touchy at best......and even if you think everything is right it can still fall off...... trial and error .....

if you refer to soft glass i am not sure, i have only tried it with boro
