That's beautiful, Leander. The song is almost as beautiful as the person you are, and I'm referring to your kind nature and your joyous heart. Fifty-four years ago today (when I was 3), I was at a family Christmas gathering at the house of one of my cousins. They had a large gathering room in their basement, and that's where everyone was. My cousin (our hostess for the evening) had to go upstairs for something, and I tagged along. I'm not sure her reason, but when we got upstairs, she sat down at her piano and began to play Silver Bells, just for me. I think that was the first close-up experience I had with a piano, and even though I was very young, I remember it well. I remember thinking "I want to be able to do that," but unfortunately the opportunity to learn when I was a child was never available to me. I think I remember mentioning to you a while back, my grandmother had an electronic organ, and I would play on that, but it was a few years later than the Christmas party at my cousin's house. She had some self-teaching books, and when I was old enough to read them and understand them, that is when I learned a little bit more legitimately how to play a keyboard instrument. I still didn't have access to professional lessons, and it was a long time before I did. I was in my late 30s, and by that time I don't know that I had the ability to develop two-hand skills effectively enough to be able to play very well. I still enjoy it, but my playing is very basic compared to what you are able to do. The arpeggios in the song you played in this video sound spectacular. When I see you playing, it gives me a happiness I can't begin to describe. Even though I wasn't able to learn when I was young, I look at you, and I see how much you enjoy it. That makes me think, "Here's somebody who is able to learn while he is young," and it gives me a sense of satisfaction as if it were me playing those songs. I even played this one a second time so I could sing along with you. I am so fortunate to have found your KZbin channel. I have no idea what caused it to appear on my suggestions list a few months ago, but I think maybe it was meant to be there just for me. I had hoped to be able to get a Christmas present to you some way, but I understand that it would be impractical to accomplish that. Instead, since I'm old enough to be your grandfather, I'll just say I wish I had a grandson just like you. I love the stuffins out of you, little buddy. You have a very merry Christmas with your family, and make some good memories that will last you a lifetime.

Merry Christmas, Leander.🌲 This song is one of my earliest memories. We lived in the city and Mom would carry me to the corner where we would get on the trolly and go downtown. When we were downtown, this song was playing, and I looked down the street, saw the snow falling, the Christmas decorations, the red and green stop lights. When we moved to the suburbs, I thought it was strange there was no trolly. And you call THAT a tree?

Merry Christmas, Leander! Your musical talent is a year round gift to all of your subscribers. I notice you brought some of your Christmas decorations with you to your aunt's house. I especially noticed the red and green reindeer. I have a reindeer just like the red one I received years ago from a friend. It was made in Japan probably sixty years ago. I have never seen a matching green one. I don't think real reindeer are either red or green, but they are very festive for Christmas!
