I went back and watched this Tenha stream and it felt like a ton of nostalgia just hit me. Things I had forgotten. How this was just a week after the Jade Wind Scorpion Nerf. How Stove got hacked. It felt like a public execution. The boiling point of so many bad decisions started by Aramintha.

She ended up being my 1st ml 5 star but I got her two weeks before they nerfed her. So I ended up giving her away for arby who carried my account. Till this day I’ve never gotten her again. Ironically same can be said with arby. And man I miss those days when a 265-270 alots was looked at as godly. 😅

E7 has always been one or more character(s) making the waves and the other getting drowned below them, they design characters badly and then expect new characters to counter and if all is vain, it's just gonna be a nerf, atleast that's what I've seen in the past 3 years

I still remember seeing a 301 speed kayron build once and I was completely chocked by it. By the time, I thought it was impossible to beat that, it was in the dizzy meta(if I recall correctly) and being 250 speed was already hard enough, imagine 300 speed. Never expected the game to evolve to the way it is nowadays

Anyone remember the holy trinity of Tieria, Elson and Rikoris? Hunt grind back then was horrible, a lot of people forgot that early game, the pieces don't have guaranteed stats. Your shoes could have anywhere between 5 speed to 8 speed.

Man, I totally forgot/wasn’t aware some of the details while playing during this time. I stayed away from Arena during Silverblade because my cleave team (with Judge Kise) similar to yours wasn’t ready. I never knew she alone was that OP. I only knew much more about her when she was with Baal and Armin who stopped me from climbing just as I started playing Arena again lol then there was that A.Vildred. I was done with PvP for a while.

remember no auto hunt, u had to literally be touching the game every 3 4 minutes to keep farming, and it was a lot harder since the gear was trash, farming wyvern 10 before even existed wyvern 12. and Judith was the best pusher by far. i Quited the game after an arena fight vs ml ara and ml rin in the opposite team

In regards to the japanese cultural work setting topic, I don't think it's just a "we don't want to take responsibility" situation. The culture is different and how you tackle changes in the company is different from America. There is the concept of nemawashi, which in simple terms is to get everyone involved on board with any changes before putting in the actual request. If you bring up a suggestion without having everyone agree with it, you'll have a very hard time getting it to go through

16:20 Im pausing the video here to give my thoughts before I hear yours. When Sage Baal was revealed I was in a small community and everyone was gushing over how good crescent moon ring was. They were enamored with her speed and buff stealing. They were calling her the star of the show. I was one of the few people who was like idk about this guys. Stealing a turn and then having a strip into aoe seems pretty strong to me. Of course I wasn't a top player at a time so I couldn't see how to match what proceed with this unit what is synergy. I just knew that it was pretty strong

It's obvious that they will no longer give out recall selectors or if there is, it'll be very very rare for it to happen specially ML character coz they already knew it'll be a loss on their end and another job to fix, so instead of doing that why not just release another ML that answers the current problem while making that new ML another problem. This way, new players wouldn't regret not having old units coz they can just focus on the upcoming ones.

I joined shortly after the first GG collab, the meta had been stable for a while, but I'd say from around the time of Belian - PVP has just felt more shit over time and there hasn't been any "ups" since then... only downs. Units are getting more and more overloaded, units are becoming more and more RNG (looking at you ML Landy you perma-salvo rat) and it just feels bad to take breaks from the game now.

The results from nerfing Baal, Aramintha and Arby were pretty funny. Aramintha: Was already leaving the meta and continued to leave the meta, now also useless for pve Baal: Basically deleted from the game, I didn't see a single one for years Arby: Nerf ushered in the golden age of Arby which lasted like 2 years when everyone traded in their Aras and Baals

Ydcb 300 speed sage baal was what made me start e7 when s bellona got released sadly didn't know how banners worked and didn't pull her lol but got opsigret from normal banner lol .....yeah I got lucky Edit: damn now I get it his hate for e7 on one of his resent videos explaining

The thing is most e7 community players are usually at endgame. At champion it becomes even more obvious. Hopefully there is a “silent majority” or “casuals” that don’t mind the game as is.

I really love these E7 history videos. But I gotta admit, I probably wouldn't have had the patience to play for very long if I played back then. Seems like there was a lot to put up with back then. SG never should've made the no-nerf policy. Now it's just become an unhealthy power creep fest. With the infrequency+inadequacy of balance adjustments, the no-nerf policy allows them to scheme around with power creep. Instead of tackling the problem through frequent and adequate game balancing, they focus on selling the next OP unit. Take a month break, and e7 becomes a whole new game without any actual new content... They have to focus on the material that already exists and what many players already have via balancing. Seriously, look at Summoners War: those balance patches were juicy asf, and I don't even play it anymore. SW balance gets like at least >11 adjustments, whereas E7 gets

I understand where you're coming from but as someone who has balanced several games before...it isn't that easy. It's a lot easier to say "Just do X" or "Why can't your game be just like Y?" As I said in the past to Jenazad: In 1 hour of a patch being live, the playerbase will have tested more than your entire has done in a month. They will find how to break something or make it unusable. Despite your best intentions, things can (and usually will) fall flat. The best games have developers/a balance team that will be able to land in the ballpark with most decisions. But it's again...really really hard to do that most of the time.

If SW also give selector for each nerfed unit I bet they will also use no nerf policy. The topic of "recall selector" is really a double edge sword, on one hand people will call you a scam if you nerf a unit that player has paid for (literally in every gacha game I see, this argument has always been used). But in the other hand giving selector like this also make player abuse the shit out of system which directly hurt the developer income and they will definitely goes under if it being continued...... So it's like saying your option is either getting axed or EoS, now which side are your opinion doesn't really matter because in the end of the day, the reality is the dev messed up big time back then, by making "mystic" summon the way they are and releasing unchecked broken unit into the game The reality is just back then the dev and the community is not really mature enough yet, there are no RTA and gear is worst back then (no hunt 13, red gear is pretty much too rare). RTA in particular actually will help alot back then, because at the time normal arena is the only thing you can do so people is set to stone try hard on that 1 only game mode, but now? No one give a fuck about regular arena, even some legend player choose to just chill on lower rank and focus more in RTA, and draft mode is also more fun now. If RTA already exist back then, you wouldn't be too much impacted with how broken regular arena is and the thing is this ML Baal ML Ara combo require a very specific comp that if you just ban 1 of them their team scrambled apart (sure ML Baal can be replaced by hurado or basar, but you can just ban the ML Ara and you would be fine). In fact, unfortunately, RTA only came like what, 6 months after the whole catastrophe happen, which already too late by that point

MAN, I remember a few things that were happening back when I started playing epic seven in 2019 and the most busted unit was dizzy 🤣 Dizzy was top tier, but we had a few units that were shining alongside her like bassar, charles, fallen Cecilia, silver blade aramintha, maid Chloe and judge kise. I remember assassin coli destroying everything, auxiliary lots pushing everyone, crescent moon rin was also a thing, but I don't remember why, crimson Armin was amazing. At this time, ken and tenebria were starting to shine. Ruele was pretty busted back then. After all that the monster came seaside bellona 🤣🤣🤣🤣 she destroyed everything with her artifact 😂😂😂😂 later on they released elena to counter dizzy and bellona. In early 2020, I stopped playing epic because it was killing me. After all, I didn't have a PC to emulate the game. I came back in 2022 to find out that most of the units that I wanted were not top-tier anymore.

I left because the game was consuming me like it would take one to two hours or more to play the game and finish what I needed to do, and my phone could not take this much of a load, so I started to play it while my cell phone was charging and that was killing me and also my phone because I was breathing this game. Back then we couldn't choose arbiter vildred to help and finish everything really fast and to do a simple run we had to use simple characters to survive until the end. My first moonlight hero were Sage Baal and Sezan and I hated him because he couldn't do much.

Lol I didn't ever expect to see one of my comments in an im_tsu video. I've actually been playing since pretty close to the beginning, and I know they won't make a lot of changes because of the demand for moonlight selectors, as well as the uproar that they got largely from the korean community in the early days. I just believe it's something that they're long past and should use as a learning experience rather than something that controls how they govern the game five years later. Things are getting out of control and they won't fix it because they're catering to the entitled people of the past. Funny enough, I pulled 2 silver blade araminthas after the time to get a selector had passed, and I wasn't mad about it. But their current approach to balance frustrates me because they're wasting the potential of a genuinely good game. I'd say that their current approach to balance is extremely irresponsible. They should just put a warning sign on mystic banners that states heroes are subject to balance changes, and if someone pulls a broken unit that gets nerfed, then they're SoL. Balance aside, there's really no reason for 15% innate resist to exist now, and even 3% dual attack chance
